Nice! However, I must impress upon you how wonderful Babymetal sounds LIVE! Everything on their channel with “Official” is with studio audio (MV or over live video). Use “Official Live”, or find a solid fan channel with pro-shot concert videos + live audio. The Kami Band only plays live, and are NOT on the studio recording. And, Babymetal sounds much better live vocally too!! About the members: 2010: Started with Su-metal, Moametal, and Yuimetal. 2017: Yui left stopped performing year end due to health. 2018: Su & Moa became duo, tried out various formations with a number of backup dancers. Yui officially left year’s end. 2019: Momometal and 2 other backup dancers rotated in and out of 3rd spot. 2023 Apr: Momoetal made official 3rd. 🤘🦊

Welcome back to the Foxhole and BabyMetal's journey 🦊🤘🔥 Cool to see you reacting to this song, its even one of SuMetal's favorite from this album. I like the progressive metal elements, that heavy breakdown and the existential questions. There's also a reference to Macbeth in the lyrics besides the obvious lines famously known by Snow White tale. Here's some official info: Mirror Mirror (MIRROR) _Mirror, mirror on the wall...this song embodies a parallel world where the world inside the mirror and the world of reality go back and forth._ _Is what you see in the mirror your true self or the self you wish to be?_ Mirror Mirror was the 5th and final single they released from this new album called The Other One released in March showing us a new sound and a BM side we've never seen before with this metalverse. This was at BabyMetal Begins - The Other One - Clear Night live at PIA Arena MM, Yokohama, last April 2nd with MomoMetal debuting as the new official third member, she was one of the avengers since 2019 and we're all proud of her, but don't think this as a replacement of YuiMetal, she's like a new incorporation to this group for this new lore and metalverse era. Also the BM logo change, it doesn't have the skull and the heart in the B letter, as well there's only three feathers in the logo unlike four prior to this. The Western Kami Band was in charge of these shows but the audio in the official MV is studio album sound unlike this live clip you have found. They performed this at the World Tour 2023/2024 and everyone were having a blast with their classic songs and the new ones. Nice one. Not their first time incorporating Prog Metal elements into one of their songs (check 'Rondo of Nightmare' from the first album, but even moreso 'Tales of the Destinies' from the second album). You already have answers to your questions in the comments below, so I won't repeat them - I will second the suggestions that you watch the real live performances with live audio. @jakemuller8626 has said where you can find high quality live videos.

The way Babymetal works is that the three girls up front are Babymetal, and the band, which is called the Kami Band (God/Spirit Band) are session musicians chosen by Babymetal's producer Kobametal to play with them at live shows. The Kami Band are NOT considered to be part of Babymetal and do not play on the studio recordings or participate in the song writing. Babymetal has a writing team who write the songs for them, which is overseen by Kobametal. There are actually two Kami Bands, one made up of Japanese musicians, who play at most of shows in Japan, and one made up of American musicians. At this particular show, it was the American Kami Band playing, so the lineup was Chris Kelly, CJ Masciantonio, Clint Tustin, and Anthony Barone. Regarding the lineup of Babymetal, there were originally three members of Babymetal; Suzuka "Su-metal" Nakamoto (lead vocalist), Yui "Yuimetal" Mizuno (scream and dance), and Moa "Moametal" Kikuchi (scream and dance) (it's not really scream as in metal screaming, that's just what they call it). Yuimetal retired from Babymetal in 2018 due to illness, and for the next few years, Babymetal was just Su-metal and Moametal, and they used a series of support dancers in the third position, one of whom was Momoko Okazaki. In April 2023 at the concert where this video was filmed Momoko officially became Momometal after four years as a support dancer, so Babymetal is back to being an official trio again.

You still have yet to hear THE best LIVE band on the planet as this is just another Official MV with studio audio over LIVE footage and no real Kami Band (their tour band backing them onstage) or actual crowd interaction. A good idea to avoid "official" (unless recommended) - you missed out on a lot here, especially the intro - but good reaction. you've not seen them LIVE yet and I strongly recommend it to give them a fair chance - they are after all a live band. There's alternatives out there on this album that aren't hard to find, and often include in the title "with intro"

Yes and no the 2:00 core membersvof baby metal are the three girls. The band is a slightly loaded question. There had obviously developed some bad blood beteen the old Band and the management but there was never a real oroblem with their current band . They simply play with masks but that was never a problem, they were originally only thevreserve for US and European concerts, an important point might be that for them the stage manager was simply the stage manager, for them it doesn't matter that she also is the lead singer. Moa and Momo have their own duties around dancing , backup singing and crowd interaction. But you picked an interesting song of the last album but it was a song that aged extremly badly without its own problem. It was simply one of the last songs when Momo was still a silent Avenger. Yes, she replaced Yui kast year in April. Yui left the Band 2018 due to health problems but she never played since 2017. So it was a huge jump for Momo but for her this song is uniteresting. The Avengers were only backup dancers that should perhaps one day replace Yui but first only should fill the role of the third member and learn their steps.

If you respect the song, lyrics, and artist, rewind and play it back a bit when you pause. Watch the comments at the beginning or end. It ruins the video.👎
