Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 BABYMETAL is the best musical phenomenon I have ever experienced in my 69-year-long life. (Before BM, I was a stubborn jazz / funk lover). The crowd involvement (circle pit, call & response, chant etc.) occurs wherever they go on this planet. Even this Japanese old man jumps into the pits 🤣 and chants loud. In your video, Su shouted some words at 08:48 meaning "Bring them on!". Fans analyzed that the provocative shout was thrown at people who had been ignoring, underrating, mocking, hating and even trying to discredit BABYMETAL. That shout may have been necessary in 2015 but not any longer. We say "Japan is the country obsessed by Rock Music". The history is very long and the obsession started in 1966 when Beatles visited Japan and held 5 concerts at Budokan. Speaking of hard rock / heavy metal music, a number of bands started to come to Japan since as early as 1970s : Led Zeppelin / Grand Funk Railroad (1971), Deep Purple (1972), Queen (1975), Kiss (1977), Cheap Trick / Van Halen / Scorpions (1978), Judas Priest (1978/79) and so on. Now, any type of rock can be enjoyed here, especially by many all-female or women-fronted bands. They are daughters of American / European rock, for sure. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.)

At last, you have seen a BabyMetal live performance 😁 This is BabyMetal at their best, and even though i have seen this performance many times it still gives me goosebumps and i have experienced it at a show live 5 times and ended up with a sore throat with singing along and shouting back BabyMetal at the end . From the moment you have experienced a show you are working out how to see them again as soon as possible 😁 As a side story i was seriously ill in hospital with covid .i listened and sang in my head to this song and to the doctors and nurses supprise i started to get better. They were expecting to put me on life support i was told afterwards. Was it BabyMetal that helped me i like to think so ❤❤❤ 😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼

Nice one - and, apart from it being a great song and a great performance, one of the reasons this is the best you've heard yet was because this was the first live performance you've heard.🤘🦊🤘 This video was from January 2015 at the Saitama Super Arena. Su was 17, Yui and Moa only 15 and that was over 20,000 people completely under their control. Even at that age Su was already splitting the crowd and commanding walls of death with just a gesture. This was also the end of a 90 minute concert - they had been keeping that same energy up without any drop in quality for the whole time. It is what they do - they appreciate people have often paid a lot of money and travelled a long way to see them, they never give anything less than 100% for every song at every concert, whether that is one of their big arena concerts in Japan or at the many various sized venues as they tour the world. About the song itself - 'Road of Resistance' is a very positive song, it isn't the usual "resist the machine or the system etc" that we might expect from the title. It is about forging your own road even where a road doesn't already exist, not necessarily going the easy way or following the path already made by somebody else, so if the way you want to go has never been trodden you may have to get past the resistance of the undergrowth, obstacles, hurdles and things blocking your way etc to find your own way. It could easily be used to describe BABYMETAL's own story - they could have followed the well trodden path of J-Pop and been very successful, but they chose to go with Metal ... but again they didn't just follow the same old format of every other metal band, they have done it their own way and it hasn't always been an easy route to follow. Herman Li and Sam Totman from British speed metal band DragonForce did the guitar arrangements for this song (it is the only one they were involved in) and recorded the guitars for the album version. Herman has said they made it faster and more technical than most of their own songs thinking they would never have to play it live ... and that they had to practice very hard when they did play it live with BABYMETAL at an awards show in London later in 2015. This was the Kami Band - playing live as always of course. For this show they were guitarists Leda Cygnus and Takayoshi Ohmura, Bassis BOH and drummer Hideki Aoyama.

Went to both Babymetal shows for Legend MM this past March. Best experience I've ever had, met so may people from around the world. And as a plus they all love BM. We already have a group ready to go for the next show(s) in Japan!

Nice job, love your heartfelt enthusiasm. This performance is pretty much canon for anyone who loves or is getting to know canon. I've seen this so many times and still get goosebumps. It's funny I always have a sense of almost fatherly pride in the amazing performance these young women put on here. Just a mind blower. Recommend for reactions sticking with live performances. You never go wrong with those.

Well it also is onevof their most effektive Closers, since in thr end The audience sings. I was not quite sure , were they done or were we done. It nearly felt Ok, another audience done where can we find the next.

Hello from Canada. You are doing a great job BTW. one of the best series of newer vids is live from the PIA 2023 show. It was the first shows to have Momo as a true member of the team. A really nice series. Start with Metal Kingdom PIA arena 23.

👍 👍 This is one of the only BABYMETAL official MV's that includes actual audio from an actual LIVE performance instead of studio over LIVE footage. Going forward because BABYMETAL is so much better LIVE I suggest HQ Pro Shot videos of LIVE performances instead of official MV's. If you choose to react to an Official MV (Karate and Megitsune are the only other Official MV's in my opinion that are worth a reaction to) suggest reacting to the LIVE performance of those two songs as well. BABYMETAL is so much better LIVE.

I remember this particular performance leaving many jaded Westerners teary-eyed in their RU-vid reactions during the second half of last decade. Crazier thing is RoR wasn't even officially released at the time of this Legend 2015 concert at Saitama Super Arena on Jan 10, 2015. They had first debuted it live (then provisionally titled "The One") at their London O2 Academy Brixton gig some two months prior, & then made the song available as a limited bonus download days before Saitama. Somehow, the 20,000 attendees (BM's biggest own headliner at that time) worked out the crowd participation parts on their own after watching the earlier fancams & briefly listening to the full song. The reception was so excellent that it became the official live video & uploaded to RU-vid in mid-2015. It also took place 6 months after their first foray into mainstream metal abroad, implausibly winning over the 50,000 metalheads at Sonisphere UK (& also playing to 40,000 at HeavyMTL Canada & supporting Lady Gaga in the USA). Also endured a savage blowback from elitist gatekeepers along the way, since Gimme Chocolate was going viral at that time. As such, RoR was lyrically BM's exquisite response to those who were dismissing them as a gimmick & novelty act. Musically, it also served as a prelude to their Metal Resistance album (2016) where they would beat the naysayers at their own game, literally song after song (powermetal, metalcore, ska metal, speed metal, death metal folk metal, prog rock, nu metal, prog metal). With RoR, much credit goes to powermetal band Dragonforce. BM would befriend many foreign musicians on the tour circuit, & DF was one of their earliest supporters, not only comically sneaking them into Download UK (after the promoter belittled calls to invite BM for months) but also playing the guitars on the studio version of RoR. Team Babymetal (including the Kami band) & their newfound mettle was on full display at the Saitama homecoming. The occasion didn't faze them, despite the girls being merely 15-17 years old & having headlined only 3,500-size livehouses as recently as mid-2013. In fact, their 2014 to 2016 major gigs featuring their classic lineup (original trio, band, crowd) were the most maniacal ever, culminating in two sold-out 55,000 shows at Tokyo Dome. Thankfully, they were all filmed for prosperity. Check out their 40,000-size Metrock Festival 2015 set (on Dailymotion), which took place a few months after Saitama.

Doing great on your reactions. I am in the middle of watching them all. I've been to 16 Babymetal concerts in 8 different countries, including 2 of these big mega shows in Japan. I would say, if you get the chance to go to one, you should. They are enjoyable.

If you ever want to watch a fun show try RWBY. It's got nine seasons and will pull people because the fans want more people to watch it.
