⚡ / 🔥 😱 🔥 My favorite is the second guitar solo, performed by Takayoshi Ohmura. It goes from bluesy metal, to technical, then back into the 'Mischief of the Metal Gods' theme flawlessly. First solo: Leda Cygnus (guitar) Third solo: BOH (bass) Fourth solo: Hideki Aoyama (drums) Su's voice has only gotten better since that March 2014 concert. She performed three solos that night. She did 'No Rain, No Rainbow', followed by 'Akatsuki' earlier in the set. That Black Night Budokan concert is still one of my favorite BABYMETAL shows of all time.
“How can she sing like that?”....OTFGK!!!! As always reacting to a live BabyMetal video is the way to react. The thing about BabyMetal, I tried to pick which tracks to my into my rotation. I ended up nearly having all their tracks in the rotation. Their songs are just that good for me.
One of my absolute favorites. And BOH's tapping...he just nails it. Grington 300 300 and CS described well what the song is about, but I saw someone telling that it also was like perfect illustration of depression, how it haunts you and you can't escape from it. As person who has struggled with depression (me) it hits really hard and at the same time feels deliberating with song like this.
Mischief Of Gods. One of my favourite solo from The Kami Band. Tight, Precise and Wonderful to watch. Su-Metal moves with the songs and draws you into the song together with the Queen. The technique Su-Metal uses is by pressing the mic towards in between her lips and nose thus creating the nasal effect. Su-Metal is great at doing it. Great reaction again. Kitsune Up 🦊🦊🦊🤘🇯🇵🇸🇬
This quickly became one of my favourite songs ever... And this particular performance is fire. The dark ominous tone of the music, Queen Su, and the Kami Band just owning it! Thoroughly enjoying your Babymetal reactions! 🤘🦊🔥❤️
I have absolutely no knowledge of vocals but if I tuck my head down like that and try to sing I notice it sounds like that.... well, when I do it, it sounds like a dying goat, ... but I mean if an actual singer did that I can see how it would sound like that. For the actual performance it may be a backing track because it sounds pretty much the same every time, but I'm pretty sure she would have no problem doing that live.
The "angelic effect" is debated. Some people say that Su's miming, I believe that she's using the polar response of the microphone by putting it up to her nose and singing into the least sensitive area...and there's probably a lot going on with the sound board too. The staging looks great, but there are a lot of lifts, platforms and stairs and both Yui and Moa had falls and I think it was actually quite a dangerous set up. This is a very dark song lyrically where Su is chased through her dreams by something she cannot escape. The repetitive nature of a rondo (a main theme that alternates with contrasting themes) makes this even more frightening. The time signature also jumps around to make us feel uncomfortable and keep us off balance. The final chorus is as unsettling as the changing time signatures and offers no happy resolution: It flickers slowly appearing and disappearing in my mind. A nightmare rondo is being repeated. The awakening light is gone far away out of my sight. I can do nothing but fall into the darkness. I'm always reminded of "monsters from the id". Some reviewers mention that the song ends very abruptly and that it's hard to settle into...which I think is the point as nightmares are disconcerting.
@@federico1414 Exactly, people don’t want to accept the fact that BABYMETAL does take some shortcuts at their shows. They’re still phenomenal, but don’t just lie about stuff lol
I think on the next album they have a song or two where the Kami band gets to solo like this in the middle of the song, Maybe just in the live version to surprise the crowd. GJ on the reaction, This is one of my favorite Babymetal performance. On stage Su Metal is 10 feet tall.
Dark vibing, melodic, a touch of classical music, really love it. Maybe it's just me, but I like the song more. The solos sorta gave the icing on the cake, but the song IS the cake ^^
That low-fi bit was just a track, she wasn’t actually singing that part. People have spread various things around about what she’s actually doing at that part, but when they did this song that part always sounded exactly the same and sometimes she didn’t mime along perfectly and you could tell she wasn’t singing it live, which is fine, it’s only the one little part she doesn’t do live. I’d like to suggest one of Su’s solos that not many people get around to doing, and that’s “Amore”. It’s low-key one of their heaviest songs instrumentally but you don’t even realize it because how beautiful Su’s voice sounds. There is a good video of this song up on Babymetal Reactor Resource, definitely check that out.
I agree that "Amore" is an underrated gem. The music is proper power metal, with some amazing little solos, but all you really see and hear is Su. She really steals the show. Unfortunately, I can only remember seeing compilation videos of it here on RU-vid.
Su is a properly trained singer with a vast range and versatility. Effects can be applied from the mix board to emphasise certain phrases but her control is incredible. She’s capable of things we can only imagine.
You asked, "How does she sing like that?" - As I understand it, the dreamlike vocals are produced by her pressing the microphone against her noise and singing across the top of the mic rather than into it.
_"by her pressing the microphone against her noise and singing"_ That's exactly how it's done, I don't get why some folks think it's back track 😅 Maybe they never had a mic in their hands ✌️😉
That is one way you can do that, but that’s not what she’s doing here. That part was a track, if you listen to that part in the studio song and every other performance of this song, it sounds exactly the same, and sometimes her lips aren’t matching the track, you can see it if you pay attention.
I'm surprised it took you this long to get around to Rondo.... Usually Road of Resistance and Rondo are the first to be recommended. 🤣 This intro gives the impression that the Kamiband has only done Solo for this song. Not true. in babymetal concerts Kamiband has lots of solos to show off their skills.... I still love the outro where Takeyoshi played the guitar behind his head. 🤘🦊🤘
As you progress down the foxhole you will find outSu Metals voice is a Swiss Army knife able to sing any genre . If you loved the Kami band intro then you will love this . Its the US/Europe Kami band playing Kagerou . Its badass . ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PZF-DJ1MCFw.html
Love how you now refer to Su as "The Queen"! Soon it'll be "Our Queen", followed by "My Queen". Try a Su solo, on her 20th birthday, in her hometown of Hiroshima, which is heartbreaking but beautiful too - No Rain, No Rainbow: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pDgqo6fcliY.html
@@crypticmisery7996 You need to tell Liam, not me. Just post a comment he can see as I doubt the man goes through every comment that is posting on another comment. Its more sensible that way, you know, especially as he's the one you want to inform.
