⚡ 💀 💕 / 🤘 This was at a BABYMETAL headlining concert at La Cigale in Paris, France on July 1st. The venue holds 1,389 people. About a week after her 15th birthday This was shortly before BABYMETAL's Sonisphere appearance on July 5th. Moa took over lead vocals in Cologne, Germany on July 3rd, the day before her 15th birthday. There's also fan cam footage of that one What often gets overlooked is that they each took the lead again, when they got back to Japan. Yui at APOCRYPHA - Y on July 21st, 2014, and Moa at APOCRYPHA - M later that same day. Sadly there's no footage (even fan cams) from those two shows.

Great reaction. Rick Wagner already explained where and when this was. I believe this was also the first date of their first "world" tour and the concert in Cologne where Moa took the lead the day before her 15th birthday was the second. They followed that with their triumph at Sonisphere and then their first London concert in another smaller venue. I think they went to New York after that.

Theres also a better quality version, but it starts blurred but becomes HD after a few sec which is my favorite.
I had the opportunity to see them live in San Francisco last week, it was the happiest I’ve felt in a long, long time! I even got waves from Moa and Momo, and it was so adorable! I have a video of Moa’s cute double wave on my page.

Nice reaction. I guess I hadn't thought about it. But Yui is the first person to get the mic from Su. I wonder when they did that if they knew it would become a thing for them and the fans? Love the way Su gets into the backup role as well. She genuinely seems happy to do it and for Yui Moa or Momo. All of this is just part of the reason why Babymetal live is the best Babymetal. You never know what they're going to do. The foxhole is deep and full of surprises.

And it's funny because many western fans dream of seeing a large-format concert in Japan while Japanese fans dream just the opposite. The fact is that everyone is right here because it's two totally different experiences. The appeal of the western shows is the proximity to the stage... so you better get to the venue early or get a VIP ticket. Large format shows in Japan are a totally different animal. It's all about the crazy stage setups, the lights and lasers show, the pyro, etc. Think about it as seeing an opera. Crowds themselves are totally different as well, being perfectly organized and synchronized in Japan (singing, chanting or doing a particular move at the right and designated time) and chaotic everywhere else.

I've been wondering the speak singing part of Yui & Moa, they don't sing on the same note, they harmonized. And, there is always a higher pitch note that gives naughty kids & playful vibe, and that makes a song even crazier. For example, in Megitsune, when they sing KON-KON-KON-KON, the last KON splits into to notes, and the higher one always grabs my attention. It's a really small detail, but it makes me appreciate more to the efforts of Yui and Moa, not just Su and Kami Band never fails, Yui and Moa never fails too
Absolutely catch them in a smaller venue if you can, they really love engaging with the crowd and the whole experience will be etched in your heart ❤. It made my year when Moa waved in my direction and she definitely wasn't waving to any of the 50 other folks in the same spot dammit 😅 ❤️🦊🤘

Nice reaction and yes, I can listen to “Headbanger” all day long as well. This was a tiny venue of about 1400 people in Paris. I don’t think they play such small venues anymore but there are some shows in venues of about 3000 people. But yeah, the small venues have so much intimacy to them, it’s crazy. 🤘🔥🦊
