The people standing (@ around the 8:24 point) are the A&R managers. A&R stands for "Artists and Repertoire" and, in a company like YG, they will be heavily involved in talent scouting, recruiting and monitoring the progress and development of recruited trainees. So they likely would have had very close relationships to the members, having been involved from the earliest stages when the girls joined the company. They're probably the ones who often meet with and talk with the girls' parents about how things are going. I can imagine what was running through their minds at that moment, especially thinking about what they would have to say to Asa's and Rora's parents.
Its really blows my tears when YG said that we are YG Family, btw im new on YG thing and Babymonster. Im not regret for following their Last Evaluation Episode. Im so proud when they all gonna Debuts soon!!! yayyyyy ( Cried again)

I hope the Blackpink members have a chance to talk with the Baby Monster members about what they're going to have to face - success, hate, being watched 24/7, it doesn't get any easier from here on out. BP's been through it all and came out as the same girls who went in, and I can't think of better mentors for BM.
An A&R (artists and repertoire) representative is responsible for FINDING promising new artists for a record label or music publisher to sign. So their reaction shows how even they felt an attachment to the girls , and most likely they will take care of the group from now on. As a YG fan for quite a while , their staff are really supportive .
As fans of Babymons7er, we have our work cut out for us already. Because it is extremely obvious that they are more talented than other 4th Gen groups, and that they are going to be huge, the antis are already attacking them in force. Many seem to be from other fandoms. They are actually attacking Chiquita because she said she hopes to one day perform at Coachella. The girl is 14 and already knows exactly who and what she wants to be. She (and all seven of them) has a vivid and focused dream, and they should be praised for achieving so much and for pursuing their dreams with everything they have. Everyone should give 100% like they do. But the antis attack her for mentioning Coachella. They said she hasn’t debuted or even won a show award yet and she shouldn’t be thinking of Coachella. How stupid can they get? How many of us knew exactly what we wanted to be at 13? Well, I will certainly do everything I can to protect these ladies. They are amazing.
Yeah….there are some netizens already leave rude comments on BM, But that’s ok, we just focus our work n support our girls. Numbers can tell everything, with all the breaking records in all categories . BM is gonna dominate the kpop industry and globally.
It is up to Baby Monster's handlers (Managers) to screen out the negative but we can still stay positive for them and remind them to stay positive and to ignore the haters.
The hate is fear based, the other 4th gen fandoms understand the BM tsunami heading their way that will sweep all others aside. Say what you want about YG but his ability to put together groups is unmatched.
Little info, yes the announcement video From YG was filmed last year. But the reaction of the members insider said that they watch that in early April meaning they know ahead of us and no wonder we see them doing flower dance challenge by jisoo. 🤭 The color of hair of chiquita is on point cuz late April she changed to a lighter pink color hair. I have a feeling YG is going to release conten more hopefully they release a behind the scene of making of "Dream" 👀
I’d say they filmed their reaction around late February or early March because Haram’s high school entrance ceremony and her school pictures in March. Her hair was at first super blonde, but then she toned it to a silver/platinum blonde in early March. Also, it was in March 20th on Ruka’s bday where she became the first one to post of BABYMONSTER’s official IG account. Then they got super active uploading pictures and videos after that. But yeah, Yang Hyunsuk most definitely filmed his announcement video probably around October/November 2022..maybe even January 2023. You see with YHS/YGE they’ve planned all this out so strategically tbh. They edited a lot of things out of The Last Evaluations there were clips, performances, and even some YG artists (like WINNER’s rapper Mino) was shown to be a mentor or judge but wasn’t shown at all. I forgot to mentioned that in Haram’s introduction video, she already had blonde hair in her interview even though they were showing clips and interview of her with dark hair. So I was already suspicious with the hair color change haha! I was like why would Haram dye her hair blonde if the whole Last Evaluations she had dark hair? Heck even from last year YG senior artists mentioned BABYMONSTER sending them flowers and wreaths for their concerts and all 7 was present at those concerts which was Fall of 2022. I think the girls already knew at that point they were all going to debut… and they re-shot some things for the release of their content/Last Evaluations. Remember in ep8? All 7 girls were in the same viewing place as they were in the reaction to announcement video? They obviously was filming messages to each other and they were also crying happy tears very similar to their reaction video. So I don’t know they could have been told already since then… but had to still react to Yang Hyunsuk’s announcement video and maybe even they already knew.. they can still be emotional when they actually watched YHS thinking process. I still cry even though I knew it was OT7, so the girls will still react the way they did.. honestly some of their reactions were kind of SUS too. Haha! But I digress.. I’m excited for BABYMONSTER.
The timeline can be confusing but I think it's obvious that regardless of how YG is selling the final members of the group, he realised very early on that 7 was the best group. Why would they start the teasers and solo introductions 4 months ago with the exact 7 members if they only planned on debuting 5? Remember there was 10 trainees in the earliest teasers. Why not introduce all 10 and then go from there? It just seems awfully convenient that the 7 they decided to introduce to the public also happened to be the final lineup. Almost as if they already knew that that was the best combination. YG makes it out like 5 was the ideal group and Rora and Asa were the publics choice. It seems to me at least that 7 is ideal. Ruka and Asa rapping style are very different. Rora vocals are very strong as evidenced in Dream. Personally before babymonster I've always preferred smaller groups but honestly I can't cut any of the 7. They're all different and maybe it's just cos they were introduced to us as 7 but it seems like 7 is the best group.
I would also like to single out Chiquita for special praise. So young and only training for 1y9m is insane especially for a big 4 company and YGE no less. Usually if a trainee was already an idol before or had certain learned skills then their training could be cut short, but she's only 13. Everything was new and her learning curve has just been awesome to behold. Really don't want to compare but she reminds me of Lisa. Not sure if the bangs are a homage but even Lisa trained for a lengthy period of time before even smelling a debut. Across the board all 7 are so talented and Alexa is right. I also feel they're going to be massive. The hype is so real, Dream shot to no.1 trending songs on billboard. The views on YT are blowing up. YG should really push the debut hard to strike while the iron is hot. All eyes are focused on them right now.
Imagine Asa going back to Japan, being a trainee again and waiting for more years and years to debut together in the group that YG wants to create there. Rora wait the same in Korea and continue to trainee for more years before debuting. And think about Ruka, she is 21 years old, by the standards she is very old age to debut, maybe this would be one of her last chances for her to debut, maybe the very last! That's why she cried so much, perhaps she was also thinking of her mom that she, as Ruka had said, she is the person who most of all has been waiting for this moment of her daughter's debut!
I know these gurls are mentally strong but i hope its strong enough to endure all the hates they gonna get. Its because they are a deadly threat to 4th gen GG, They are from YGE and most important, they are Blackpink little sisters.
Oh yeah you’re definitely not used to how YG works, but it’s understandable. It seems like the girls have been filming vlogs and etc from late last year to this year. In Ruka’s bday post this past March 20th she was seen with a camera as if she was vlogging about her bday ad in the subway. Usually with YG artists before debut.. they release some pre-debut content like a WINNER TV or TREASURE MAP.. so it’s like a reality show kind content. I have a feeling BABYMONSTER will drop that kind of content really soon. So don’t worry..they won’t disappear on us. They’ve been filming and preparing for their debut..I have a feeling they’ll debut possibly late summer.. possibly August just like their YG seniors cuz Yang Hyunsuk he’s projecting debut not passed Fall. So they’re going to have summer debut.
I still think it should have been 4-5 members and the other either together as another group or even solo like he actually said in the video. A group of 7 I find just too much. Blackpink manages really well in a 4 member group each getting some time to shine but I find in bigger groups you eventually get a few that really shine and the others kind of move back into the background, but really shouldn't because they have enough talent. If you ask me from any group who stands out/favourite, I'd probably will be able to say. In Blackpink however I have a bias but not a clear winner. In Destiny's child the 2nd group, I would clearly say Beyonce, although kelly is really good too, but still. The 3rd...I can't even say whet her name is without looking it up. But as a 3 member group they did so well. I feel like BM I'll remember 1, and know 2 or 3, and sort of forget the rest. (but I think they are all have talents) In fact I thought Chiquita would debut later and Haram with another group.
