As I was saying from the start Babymonster is always going to be a 7 member group.... This was all genius business stunt by YHS. First he made us emotionally connected with the girls from "introducing videos" and then by conducting the last evaluation he made it seem like he was never going to debut 7 members but all he was doing was making us fans more emotionally connected with BabyMonsters. To finish the master plan, he made it seem like "we" fans formed the Final Babymons7er group, making us feel even more involved in group activity. By doing this all, YHS already ensured that Babymonster will have a huge "loyal" fanbase even before their debut.... What a mastermind he is, I guess that's why they say "who's the clan with the master plan, YG Baby".

lucky for you guys that you saw the video hours after it was out so you have an idea how long it is but imagine watching during the premier 😭😭😭 when he started giving reasons as to why asa and rora are excluded ( they are my top 1 & 2) I WAS ALREADY TEARING UP 😭😭😭

I think the purpose YG did it that is a marketing strategy by introducing them so that the fans fall in love with them and want them but by adding the elimination element creates tension like an example of a kid want to buy 2 toys but the parent only allow them to buy one, this creates a situation of which is important but also increasing the tense feeling of "can't live without it" feeling. Also, he played a good marketing method by reasoning why RORA and ASA did not originally get in the final line-up before later adding them is to preview for two possible girl groups ( Japanese group and the black label girl group possibly) that hints on what to be expected.

I was sitting there listening to him just waiting for him to move the board and show us all 7 members but then he started talking about asa being in a japanese girl group (which knowing yg will probably not happen for the next 5years) and i was starting to believe him that he really was only gonna do 5 but then he added the board and i was so glad. anyways been so much watching predebut stuff from them with u guys. Ive been watching their videos since january every week so it will definitely be weird for me without them. anyways just gotta say i did predict the top 5 correctly and I feel very smart💁‍♀💀It is funny how yg acting like he didnt film this months ago he just knew we'd all be attached to the members through those videos and is acting like he did this this month and needed 2 weeks to decide

Have to admit that the suspense wasn't fun at all, but I'm relieved to see everyone deservedly remained in this NEW GROUP "BABYMONS7ER"! I love the "T" turn to "7" it's simple but very cool!!! Which brings me to my next point, this group and logo was already confirmed BEFORE the evaluations series even began! Think back to Blackpink's debut, there was talk about 9 members or something to that number but, we only ever saw video clips of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa!😅 The fact that they introduced all seven BABYMONS7ER members, was already a hint of the group was most likely going to be 7! I'm not saying I knew that all along, but after looking back at old videos of BLACKPINK'S training, there were always other trainees there but, we only ever saw the performances of the 4 Blackpink members! If I'm wrong, please correct me! I've been following Blackpink from DAY 1! This was another GENIUS marketing/promotion by YG! BABYMONS7ER already have over 2 million subscribers on their RU-vid channel and they haven't even debuted yet, that's genius! 😅😅😅

He might really thought to have 5 member group as YG had no experience working with more than 4 girls, as always they tried with 10 girls, then 3 were out, and these 7 members remained till the end, showing the fans their dedication and willing to debut. The evaluation episode is far 1 or 2 years ago btw. So, YG decided to debut them all 7 and promised to take care of them properly, not like the previous groups (lacking contents and long hiatus).

The guy couldve just done a 2-3 min video saying his original plan was to have 5 members without telling who he chose and just proceeded to say that he will debut them all coz of the fans' demand🤷‍♂️ Why did he have to make it hard for everyone and himself

He actually did it perfectly. YG does everything for a reason. He first stated what the agency and him as wanted. He was clear from the start 5 members only. That's business talking. He then showed us that he considers us fans a part of YG family and by that drawing us closer to YG and BABYMONSTER. His decision is not cut throat like many other agencies decision makers are by taking the time to see it all from a business and sentimental perspective. He allowed us to see what he struggled with, why he picked 5 the menbers and plans for the other two. Its freaking rare to see YG as a open book. Let's respect and cherish this.
