She is over doing it but she JUST debuted. She'll learn that working together to provide energy in a performance is better than working too hard on your own.
We said the same thing about li-lit and some of you guys started a hate train and I want to say something before you comment mean things to me. I’m not talking about you OK
@@Giyuu_simp129 ??? What are you talking about. Everything I said is in support of Ahyeon. All I said was that she is still learning. What does Illit have to do with anything??? I'm so confused!
@@yeji-u9z If she knew what she was doing then she would stop. Why would she do it on purpose when it would only lead to criticism? She's not evil, she's a 17 year old girl. I don't know why people always assume malicious intent. Training for a year does not prepare you for what viewers are going to say about you.
@@lovelyharmony3562 she will if she keeps yelling her note, or at least she’ll start losing her voice often. she needs some more training on how to belt vs yell
it’s insane because she knows how to do it properly. there’s many videos of her going the note perfectly like cd perfect so i don’t understand why she did that 😭
@@guitarmyheartsbeat Exactly, which means she’s always doing overkill. It’s okay to tone it down a bit..I hope she can widen her dancing variety to become even better
@@guitarmyheartsbeatthe song like that is not a fast song or a hype song so she is over dancing because the choreo doesn’t need fast moves or sharp moves
@@guitarmyheartsbeat yes, but compared to the other members in the song she is going WAYYY too hard. If all of them were doing the same energy as her it’d be fine, but with just one member it looks very weird.
She’s just a rookie, she has a lot to learn. Once criticism reaches her I believe she will improve. And please begin giving criticism to idols instead of hating them.
yeah I don't think she wants to overshadow no one but she is totally overdancing and not singing her part, balance is everything and too much presence doesn't equal to good stage presence
@@Umadevi-gy3lcpoint and case this. everybody knows that illit needs a lot more improvement. but at the same time hybe hasn’t chosen the correct concept for them as a whole group. imo they chose a concept where wonhee shines more but the other girls struggle to fit.
Whilst she definitely does not deserve hate, I hope she will learn to not dance as hard in songs like that, it makes it seem very out of sync. She’s still a rookie, she has a lot to learn.
Yeah, I even heard about main dancers toning down their skills to match their groups' overall dancing skill for their coordination. She kinda looks like she's over-dancing and it doesn't look too good. She have nice vocals but she's also over-singing in the clip shown. I love that she's passionate but I hope she tones it down a bit. 😅
This is what I was thinking, her over dancing is making it look out of sync, I can't tell if she does the moves quicker or slower than the rest of the group.
@@bekkigindin3313 Sometimes less is more, especially in calmer songs. Lisa doesn't move "strong" in "Don't know what to do" because she knows it's not a song for it, Ahyeon needs to learn it too
i agree with the high note issue, it sounds too nasal so its not comfortable to hear. but the hate? definetly too much, she dances really detailed than the others thats why
Hate isn't deserved, but criticism is. She is in a group, so she needs to blend in with said group. Also, it's not more detailed, just unnecessarily sharp for a slow, soft song. I wouldn't say she's trying to overshadow them though, she just lacks a little awareness which she can gain overtime.

She does it during ENCORE when they're FREE to do whatever tf they want. Rami and Pharita both make key changes, Ahyeon chooses to raise a key and belt. Why? BECAUSE THEY CAN due to their talent. Go listen to Scorpion, Guns N Roses, Journey, Europe and learn how singers with high tone belts. Your accusing her of shouting is not as normal as your mom's shouting during your birth.
@@onlydbrasko but the way she sings is damaging her vocal cords, no one is hating they are just critiquing and saying that ahyeon can learn better techniques overtime to be a good vocalist...
She is 100 percent over dancing and she is making the the group look unsynchronized because of it, BUT not a reason to hate on her, she probably isn't doing it on purpose lol
Well if you look at every one she is clearly doing it purposely and she has toned it down in the new performance.( I don't hate her, and she was actually the one who caught my eye before debut)
@@myworld5790 the original choreo might not have that much power therefore the others are doing it with equal energy whereas ahyeon is not and yg artist don't have this type of power in their choreos
they just don’t want her to be perceived as a “pick me” later down the line for overdoing it and trying to outshine the other members. i completely get both sides, they’ll call her lazy if she doesn’t put the effort in but if she does put more effort in they’ll say she’s overdoing.
Because there’s a balance artists must strike in order to perform well. Like when singing into a mic you have to be loud enough to be heard but not so loud you hurt the ears of people listening. Neither extreme is good
She is definitely overshadowing others. Will she like if others did same to her? everyone can do more powerful but they didn't.. It's not her solo song.. She doesn't understand teamwork or either don't want to
no one’s bullying her ya’ll, when can everyone realize that constructive criticism ≠ bullying ? she’s clearly overdoing it but that doesn’t mean she can’t learn from her mistake since she’s still a rookie
That's true but her solo stans refuse the criticism and say that it's other members fault for not being able to catch up. If they continue like this, she'll never learn from her mistakes
shes at a concert, it's not an MV, or a music show or the recording studio, she's having fun and that's okay. she hits all the high notes when she needs and wants to.
@@lovelyharmony3562people are there for singing not screaming. Not only that but she will seriously damage her vocal cords. Its a risky thing to do and not worth it:( she'll learn though. That's clear ❤
@@lovelyharmony3562 the "they're just having fun" excuse when idols simply have bad/not good enough vocal technique is so corny lmao stop it. like sure she can fun too but it doesn't change the fact that her technique for high notes isn't very good and this isn't a one time thing, she always strains that high note. at the end of the day it's still a concert. imagine working an office job and you f up your work and just say "well i'm just having fun tho :)"
I remember watching a survival show and one of the contestants got told off for dancing too hard when it was another member’s center time. This is honestly a perfect example of why idols in a group have to be aware about the whole performance rather than just their own. If she wants to stand out then she should focus on the details of her dance. Controlled movements with subtle personal touches on the choreo, instead of high energy.
Yea it’s kind of a golden rule in dance that if you’re not the center in the moment, you turn down your dancing. That’s why with backup dancers on stage you can see that despite being professional dancers they’re still able to give way to the center
Thats not a golden rule, youre just making that up hahaha when a group aims for uniformity and unity, nobody tones down their dancing, all of their energy and levels should match up. in fact, the center, which usually is also singing their line, usually would slow down their dancing so they could focus on their singing (that’s if they are singing live), and then go back to matching the energy with others after singing the part.
thats not a golden rule lol theres a lot of backup dancer who outdance the artist even have their own fancam...ive never seen jihyo of twice tone down her dance, its just ahyeon is the new punching bag of peoples insecurity
Idk but as a multi kpop stan i love her STRONG STAGE PRESENCE, her moves and vocals are satisfying to watch she's probably doing that because she LOVES TO PERFORM and not because she's overshadowing her members lol.
Overdancing is possibly the dumbest thing Kpop stans ever came up with. She's a rookie, she tries her best and gives her all, wtf is wrong with people these days? I would understand if Irene, Solar or Nayeon suddenly started to dance in a way that's unnatural to them but geez, this is ridiculous.
Ahyeon, Wonyoung, and Jennie really are parallels because they manage to get hate trains for nothing. Except Wonyoung is actually Un-Problematic and got hate for breathing. But they could never make me hate any of them.
@@Eighteen04 I never said Jennie was bad or she underdid it. When Jennie isn't dancing energetic, she makes up for it with amazing live vocal and awesome expression, which isn't overdone. Jennie's stage presence is perfect. Ahyeon, on the other hand, is absolutely overdoing it, and it doesn't even look good.
@@Certified_Yoongi_Akgae She's energetic and gives her best! You've seen two clips of her performances, and yet you're being shady towards her. Remember, she's just a rookie and can still improve. Saying 'the hate towards Ahyeon is justified' is not true! You're only hating because she's getting more attention than the other members.
She needs to take this criticism though. Her dancing just looks bad compared to the other member and especially when the song is so slow, it makes her look way too messy
@@Alicei7 I do agree she is overdoing the dance but she’s still a rookie and will learn over time. Netizens need to stop with these double standards though …
@@faizanahmed3270 it's not double standards. Over dancing and under dancing are both bad. There is a middle in between those to extreme. Performers and dancers are supposed to balance their dance to not over dance AND not under dance. This isn't a double standard.
Probably she's just love her job, it's her dream. She just wants to give her best. But at thw same time, i hope her performance director could find the best way to explain her about group harmony. It's has no balance in group anymore. Like everyone is doing a group work but get grade individually. And she needs to keep up that kind of energy her whole career bc later on when she slake off ppl will start calling her lazy and lose passion. We've seen it with her senior.
people are so hypocrites, when ahyeon got delayed debut everyone was wishing for her but when she debuted now she got hate? people are just so wrong, just let her cook please.
that's not overdancing. Ahyeon has powerful movements in her dance. it is controlled and has speed and power snaps in her movements. Ahyeon also has Powerful vocals. everything about Ahyeon speaks power. she's the all rounder.
some of yall in the comments need to grow up maybe?? or come back to reality. her career is performing and making music for public consumption, therefore there is going to be constructive criticism being thrown around about her. that does not make it hate. she can improve and that’s all. don’t know why some of you choose to be babies about the smallest things
She looks like a mess on stage. She doin' too much that's why her dancing looks messy compared to others. Her "high notes" is literally just her screaming and it does not sound pleasing at all but she's just a rookie she still has a long way to improve. I believe she would be better in the future. Fighting, Babymon!
Right? She’s just enjoying herself. Negative criticism just causes and adds more fuel to the hate train, especially people that already have some disturbing vendetta against ‘said-person’. People need a serious reality-check, seek help.
@@XxsunnysisxX like Jennie from bp, when she give a little power to her dancing, they say that she is over dancing, but if she is just dancing calmly people will just say she is lazy, how does this like makes sense in this way?!
I’d rather have an idol over perform than under perform any day. This is an easy problem to fix, she’s just excited. She debuted later than the other members, I’m sure she’ll be fine once she gets the experience
Different tho. In jennie’s case, she was going all out but still following the small movement of the dance, sharp in the right places, just a little more powerful. But ahyeon makes every movement sharper than it should be, and sometimes she didn’t sync with other members if you put her video and other members’ side to side
I actually love Ahyeon's dancing specially in like that. Watched a lot of their live performance in YT and her dancing doesnt really ruin the group's performance.
The one-time netizens, stans, whatever their called, make a valid point y'all are mad at them 😅. They're right it does look sloppy when she's setting a whole different tempo from the group by herself. Nothing wrong with reasonable criticism
Well she is overdoing it. If the members do it like her too it's gonna be a mess. They need to look balanced while dancing. But Ahyeon just trying to give her best so she'll learn overtime
I hate how this world goes. They just have way too much to say. You actually see someone who enjoys her job and you over react by saying shes over performing
This kinda thing would definitely become a reason to the members to make fun of her in variety show for like 10 years from now, just like Girl's generation did😂
Ok now i felt bad for ah-yeon for doing strained high note that could damage her chord like she was high tier D before and now had regressed so much becoming mid tier D- I think if she keep doing it asa might replace her to be the 4th best vocalist in BM
She debuted for a reason, they obviously enjoyed her skill set and thought it was worth debuting. So, Ahyeon, keep doing what you're doing babe. All these people sitting behind their keyboards and don't know anything about it are always going to critique everything you do. If the group or company saw something wrong with it they'd correct it.
For this one time, the netizens are right. She is overdancing and it looks horrible. Im sure she is a great performer but it doesn’t excuse the way she is dancing. A slow tempo doesn’t match with fast movements
Stop hating the poor girl she’s young. She’s still learning. She’s extremely talented and she likes to show it. People complain when they say idols are lazy or can’t sing and she’s doing the opposite. Good for her.
@@wsgbru.. It IS, y'all are so soft omfg. I'm a dancer, and the level she's being criticized is basically the same as what I get. There's no other way to say it to get it across. And y'all can't just baby her, she desperately needed the improvement. Suck it the f*ck up
This time the netizens are right. She IS over dancing, the tempo of the song is slow and she is dancing way to fast, it doesn’t look good and it looks messy
She has alot of talent and yes she may do an little to much but guys remember she is still young and an ROKIE so please understand she will improve with time and eventually became even better , also don't make her the next Jennie , don't forget what you all did to her so please understand and support her ❤
