The violent death of a baby boy boiled down to a bad day, according to his grieving mother.
Amanda Nichols, mother of 10-month-old Owen Nichols of Coquille wept as she addressed defendant Hayley Steele at a sentencing Monday morning.

They should of given her the death penalty smh 76 months for killing someone? Meanwhile people are in jail for 10 years or more for lesser crimes... The world has gone to shit

Well, care about who you vote for then. If you think republicans are the ones fighting for higher penalties for crimes that deserve it, you should look at their voting records. They’re not.

If they didn’t want to go through what happened, they shouldn’t have attended the trial. Their unwillingness to do that is what gave her such a ridiculous sentence. There was nothing courageous about that. They should have just sat it out. Insane choice. 🤦🏼‍♀️
