Seems like you guys got a really normal, authentic experience of staying in Poland, can be chaotic at times but much more memorable than if you chose the fancy hotels and bars. Your vlogs and Dianne’s are such a laugh, Joe! I loved seeing Poland’s beautiful mountainous countryside with the lovely lakes and the sweet towns. Such a fun time out with the dance troupe!

You got the feeling right with polish folklore! Tolkien was so inspired by Slavic mythology and many Slavic legends and stories, there are many polish elements in his novels. Also Tolkien's distant ancestry was initially traced back to the village of Tolksdorf (now Tołkiny) in the far northeast of Poland. Thats also a great idea for another trip - fly to Gdańsk (beautiful city by the Baltic Sea, known for Solidarność movement), then to said Mazury region, full of even more beautiful lakes (everyday trail tour through Olsztyn, Kętrzyn (Tołkiny is near), Giżycko, Ełk would be so nice) ✌️

This might be my favourite Poland vlog so far 😁 Seeing how a different culture celebrates and has fun is awesome!

Joe your vlogs throughout Poland are bringing back so many fond memories for me from back to when I used to dance and tour Slovakia with our Aussie Slovak dance group from Melbourne. The group still tour but I’ve retired. So many similarities to the Polish. It put a big nostalgic smile to my face. Thanks mate, your vlogs have been great 👍🏼

I'm so envious of these places that have such rich cultures and traditions. It's beautiful to see. We don't really have these things in Australia, as such. The Nutbush/Madison doesn't count, imo! Of course there's indigenous culture, and I love to see that too, but European-settled Aussies don't have things like their own instruments etc. Anyway, my point, it's a joy to see these vlogs.
