@@Veonnachh How do you know? Dont be so smart, you wasn't there, I wasn't there, and Bach never existed. edit: Bach causes coronavirus, spreading by the air.
I'm an aspiring luthier and I'm actually tempted to try it. I think I will at least draw out some thoughts and ideas of the mechanisms, and I'll see from there.
Jagoda Adriańczyk that’s because the string simulates the wavelength that sound makes. And because it’s almost synchronized to the frame rate of the camera used for videoing, you can see those waves.
Duality No, Bailey’s right. The vibration of the string synchronizes with the camera’s captured fps, at least partially. It’s how you see fragments of the wave’s vibration like that. The only other way it could happen is through the uploaded fps, if the camera took high fps but youtube took a smaller amount.
I mean in theory the theremin and an electric pick function in the same way. However due to the guitars design the pitch is far easier to control than a standard theremin. I do love the sound this makes.
@@houstonflisk4885 I mean the sound is simmilar, but you're are right.I have a friend that plays theremin and it took him like a month or two to learn a scale.
that music is beautiful. I have known her for a long time and listening to her on the guitar reminds me of many things that happened in my life as a high school student (I was in the music club). You always have clever ways to further promote music and with such novel and unique examples made on a guitar. Thanks for those little tricks
This is the kind of music that I want to listen to when I am trying to focus on homework and getting ready for a sports event.(specifically soccer). Amazing job!
I’m in love with this. The end result was magical. I would love to see a more permanent set up on a guitar where air can be directed to each or all strings. I think you invented an instrument dude! As you well know, there are valve blocks and air tanks that just for compressed air alone. That would distribute the air and eliminate the motor noise (not that the noise matters for end result). Thanks for sharing!
I swear this man and his air compressor are gonna send all ebows out of business. Marvellous, marvellous job, classic Davidlap style. Just waiting for the day when this channel blows up, cause it has to, else there's something wrong with the world.
It's not actually moving that way, it's the wagon wheel effect. The pixels in the camera don't all register exactly simultaneously, so each column in the image is looking at a different phase of the string's motion. Propellers always look distorted for the same reason.
The typical RU-vidr would pad out the first 8 minutes of this video with an explanation of the premise of the video (as if it wasn’t obvious in the title), teaching us who Bach is, showing us the process of setting up the air compressor, advertising Raid Shadow legends, thanking his Patreon supporters, and so on. Thank you for getting straight to the point. Putting info in captions for us to read while we listen is extra smart.
Wunderbar!
It's 639 am here in the states.. and now after watching this. Here I am lugging my amp strings and petal out to the shop....... thanks guys the neibors should love this shit....
Not gonna lie. The title made me think of something far less artful than this piece. Guess I don't deserve to prostate myself before the idol of Bach. Shit, I did it again.
I was guessing before it started organish sound. So surprisingly flutey and slightly angelic in a vocalistic sense. Could a fan like nozzle get chords?
As a violist, I play it sul G. As far as a guitar G string and viola/violin, they're not that different from a physics and intonation perspective. The relative spacing is the same. A reduction of the vibrating length of the string by 1/2 will result in a pitch 1 octave higher than the 'open' string. So if you were to watch a violist or violinist play it sul G, where they place their fingers on the string relative to the end (at the neck) would be proportionately the same as where you played the notes on the guitar.
