I know this is late, considering your video is 3 months old by now, but you are talented, and I hope you can improve even more, I’m trying to learn this on guitar, and from my knowledge, this is very hard on any woodwind instrument, especially considering the throat singing you have to do for the bass, so good job! Very good tutorial, if I ever play a woodwind instrument I’ll check this out

How long is a reasonable amount of time for a never-played-flute-before 70 y.o. neophyte to learn the treble clef of the piece you just showed us? I know that’s not an easy question, but just give me a ballpark estimate.
There is no standard answer and there are too many variables than can influence a student's path regardless of age. Every student is different, even with the same teacher. This melody has lots of accidentals. For a true beginner, I'd recommend something simpler. Things that help progress: any musical background, consistent practice, manual dexterity & coordination, critical listening with music, educational resources. www.flutetunes.com has fingering charts and music categorized by difficulty level.
