J.S. Bach Chaconne from the violin Partita in D minor BWV 1004 Transcribed for solo cello and performed by Timothy Hopkins Live performance at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" Leipzig
My dude. I'm a cellist. This is insane. Your playing is truly remarkable. Several other Chaconne transcriptions on youtube are 10,000+ views. Please, please record this again but with higher production value. You are a superstar in waiting and a vid like this that's higher quality could help launch you. Truly amazing playing. Have you done the Kodaly sonata yet? Your technique, intonation, focus, and muscular playing are so well suited to it!
Thank you very much for the kind comment! And yes, I recorded the Chaconne also for my CD "Salute to the Violin". It is also on RU-vid and on Spotify etc. Yes, I often played the Kodaly sonata. I love that piece and will definitely make a good recording and/or video of it. Best wishes!
