Ciao Paolo! Si, la serie racconta la vita di Bach fedelmente, però ogni tanto mi sono preso qualche libertà artistica e, alla fine, sappiamo molto poco su Bach come persona. Conosciamo le grandi linee della sua vita, ma oltre qualche lettera, qualche commento dei suoi figli o contemporanei o qualche nota negli annali dei posti dove lavorava sappiamo veramente poco. Quindi, ho disegnato Bach come me l'immagino io, basandomi sui fatti ovviamente, ma resta pur sempre un'interpretazione.

About that German accent, if all of the characters had spoken with such an accent, it would have made it more difficult to understand and perhaps it would also have sounded a bit "comical", like 'Allo 'Allo (an 80s British comedy series - hilarious, you should check it out on YT and you'll see what I mean). But if you watch ep. 17 I'm sure you'll be happy. 😊

Hello, sorry for the misunderstood, but i what i wanted to say last time, is that, personnaly, i would be very interested hearing Sebastian in German. Because language is music, and the language of Bach was the German. Anyway thanks for your answer and please go on with yours works @@BachTheAnimatedSeries

I did! 😁 Personally I believe that it doesn't really matter what instrument you use for Bach, but that it does matter playing it in the key that Bach intended. 😊

Dear Natalia, thank you very much for your comment! Of course, my series has been romanticised somewhat and all the dialogues come from my imagination. Still, the basic facts in my series are true, e.g. that Bach was orphaned when not even ten years old and that his stepmother couldn't (or wouldn't) take care of him so he had to go to Ohrdruf to live with his oldest brother. In fact, we know very little about who Bach was as a person because, apart from a few letters and accounts from his children or contemporaries, nothing has come down to us to tell us more about him. If you'd like to learn more about the hard facts, then there's so much you can find on the internet or in excellent biographies such as Christoph Wolff's, though every biographer still interprets the facts in their own way. I do hope that you like my interpretation. :-)

@@BachTheAnimatedSeries Thanks for clarifying it to me! The only things that have stuck in my mind about Bach's personal life is that he is from the great musicians' family and continued this family line. Also, I remember how my teacher explained me about musical intervals he used so often in his inventions, the smallest ones, which is called "second" in Russian (two keyboards in a row, white and white - mostly a tone, or black and white - half of a tone). She said that these "a second" intervals had been considered as Devil's because of their dissonant sound. Therefore, Bach used that technique, when you push one note, keep the sound, and then ad another one, so they sound together after all. My teacher said he used this method to avoid accusations in using Devil's dissonant intervals in a church. And it turned out so beautiful and peculiar feature of Bach's music. Moreover, as I remember, once my acquainted photographer explained me that it was discovered that absolutely proportional face turned out ugly, so a slight disproportion need to create beauty. It seems the same idea about the Devil's interval called "a second": push it together and you get a sharp dissonant sound, push two notes creating it one by one, keeping the first sounding, so the second starts on its background, and you create magically beautiful sound combination.
