ich freue mich sehr, heute ein Nachfolger zu meinem letzten Interview "Beyond The Music: Meet Jan Liebermann" hochzuladen. Dieses mal könnt Ihr die Fuge in a-Moll BWV 543 allein hören.
Ich hätte noch eine kleine Bitte: ich würde mich unheimlich über einen Daumen nach oben, einen Kommentar und vor allem über ein Abonnement freuen. Orgelmusik ist leider nicht die Nummer eins auf RU-vid. Deshalb wäre es schön, wenn Ihr das Video teilen könntet.

Very nicely played. Particularly impressive registration distinguishing the differing voices. Also like the tempo. Far too many organists today try to show how fast they can play bach and end up destroying the music to show off technique; whereas you set a pace which allows the intricate aspects of Bach to be heard with clarity; being a good or great organist isn’t about the organist and technique in isolation from the interpretation of the music. You demonstrate a very skillful technique, but one which also lends a sensitive interpretation of the music. Great playing,

Yeah now I see your point. If they can play it better they can send me the link and I will be the judge. I think it's up to the performer to set the tempo. I seem to play things slower. but I'm no concert organist. 73

As many times as this piece has been practiced, memorisation not an issue. You slept with it and lived with it. It’s part of your DNA at this point.

Terrific performance, great registration, really appropriate tempo. Too many organists are tempted to try to make this fugue grave and overly serious by playing too slowly, but your tempo brings it alive. Well done.

Wow, what a smooth, effortless technique on the manuals and such supple footwork on the pedalboard. I really like your articulation and the lines are so distinct and clean. You have talent in spades. Hi Jan, I really enjoyed this! I am also an organist and I am 21. I enjoy watching other people around my age play the organ as I don't know many young organists. For me, I am currently learning Bach's Gigue Fugue as it is close to performance level, but not quite there. Performing it in about 2 weeks. Keep up the great work! Sehr schön gespielt, dazu noch auswendig! In DT eher ungewöhnlich...Bravo! Vielleicht noch eine kleine Anregung. Du bist ziemlich groß und wenn Du auswendig spielst, wäre es vielleicht eine Idee, dass Deine Wirbelsäule eine etwas andere Ausrichtung bekommen könnte? Ich habe Orgel studiert und damal gab es niemanden der auf die Haltung geachtet hätte, aber wenn man viel übt und Stunden am Instrument verbringt, beginnen sich nach einer gewissen Zeit die Körperbereiche zu melden die besonders stark, vielleicht auch falsch gebraucht werden. Es hilft, seine Aufnahmen sich unter diesen Gesichtspunkten anzuschauen. Die wunderbare Musik, Deine schöne Interpretation und Körperhaltung miteinander harmonisch und gesund zu verbinden könnte vielleicht ein erhahrener Alexander Technik Lehrer unterstützen. Und es ist nur eine Idee die mir gerade in den Sinn gekommen ist. Verstehe es bitte nicht als Einmischen, gar Kritik. Schöne Grüße

Awesome in technique however i have found it a little fast. To me the work has a halting theme. When slower it reveals better. Still a joy to listen Mr Leibermann. Thank you🌻. Brilliant🤟🏿🦚🌿🪽

Wow! Just shared this to my Facebook page: RU-vid has figured out that I'm a fan of Bach's great A minor Fugue for organ (from BWV 543) and keeps pushing recordings in my direction. This one is especially good: a very fine performance, beautifully recorded, and showing both the hands *and* the virtuoso pedal-work. I also admire the organist for playing in blue jeans: neither the usual stuffy attire nor anything ostentatiously hipster-esque.

Excellent; I will subscribe. You could make the 16th-notes a little more non-legato; and in the pedals, on two occasions there's a lower neighbour tone (down then up a semitone)-they could be legato. Make sure those shoulders are relaxed! Also very good videography.

Nice to see you on RU-vid again Jan. This is a beautiful piece and you played it perfectly. Your footwork is fast and precise. I really enjoyed listening to this and watching how you play. How is the action on this tracker organ? Some can be a little hard when you have manuals coupled. At least you get some feeling when playing. I usually play on detached consoles. Keep well and safe.
