Remember the commercials from when I saw them in my grandmothers black and white 20” zenith tv with the tinfoil covered rabbit ears. Wow. I’m old. Still love it as much now as I did then. Thanks for the post.
I've been looking for this piece of music for about twenty years and never knew it was Bach. All I knew was that it associated with the Commodore 64 and Cakewalk Express. I finally found it. Now I can add it to my classical guitar repertoire.
Ahh it's the commodore flag ship main theme!! It's no wonder it's America's top choice in personal home computers... The commodore 64.. On sale at the Wizz and Crazy Eddie Lol just kidding.. One day the commodore 3000 will debut. And Bach's invention 13 will play once more..
cool (apart strange random sound drops. was it some cut in the original tape ?). Bach is certainly the best music to sequence. He was the master of sequencing. When I see all the synths and sequencers we have now I'm often thinking about Bach ..I which you were here ! :-)
There are no sound drops in it as far as I know. Can you pinpoint any? I do tend to use a tape saturation plugin for some things. I likely did here (it's been a while, so not sure), but it doesn't drop any audio.
If you can, take another listen today. Yesterday, I was getting sound drops and stutters while listening to Sonic State. I think it was RU-vid doing something messed up. It cleared up later.
It may have been on the C128. I had one at home when in high school. During middle school, I used the school's C64 and VIC 20s. But I do recall the C64 ads on TV which always ended with this piece.
