Tomita's performance on this piece is quite similar to the legendary Japanese fireworks. The principal motif is repeatedly developed by variations using a plethora of exquisite voices created by his unique techniques, leading up to the finale by a gigantic and superbly colorful flower in the sky (or space), like the explosion of a three-feet ball, that can be achieved only by the master of all masters.

I agree with what you said. Unfortunately, we live in a limited world. Or a limited country. RCA only released so many albums of Tomita in the U.S. And America is all about pop culture. Even back in the day you were lucky to find Tomita in music stores. Enjoy what you have of his. I would like to hear The School by Tomita, but it was only released in Japan. Be nice to go to Japan and go through their music stores. Anyway, best of luck..

Absolutely gorgeous, we lost a true musician when he left us. I use the Korg Kronos, and I'm in the process of sequencing, similar to Tomita, Bach's compositions, as well as others. The technology is so advanced now, and the sounds on the Kronos are so amazing, it just saddens me to think that Bach was born way too long ago, what he could have done today sitting behind the greatest synthesizer in the world, namely the Korg Kronos. I'm certainly no genius like Bach, but I can take his compositions and seemingly work musical magic with it. Several of his Inventions are remarkable the way they can be interpreted as cartoon like/video games, it would appear as though Bach actually could look into the distant future, see what computers/synthesizers can do, and purposely wrote several of his composition with that in mind. His Invention in C and F major, are perfect for that cartoon like sound, just amazing! Listen to Tomita's interpretation of Mussogsky's Picture at an Exhibition, wow! Amazing!

Jesus bleibet meine Freude J.S. Voilà pourquoi je ne laisse pas Jésus quitter mon cœur ou ma vue Jesus will always be my joy, My heart's comfort and blood, Jesus protects me from all suffering, He is my life's strength, The desire and sunshine of my eyes, My soul's treasure and bliss; Therefore I will never let Jesus go, Neither from my heart nor from my sight.

Compared to a lot of Tomita's work, this very restrained and true to the original. On the flip side, it doesn't really gain much by being performed in synthesizer and could pass for an acoustic version if you didn't know. It's certainly not bad, but it's not really that interesting either.
