Another interesting instrument is pedal- harpsichord. J.S. Bach constructed also instrument called lautenwerk: gut - stringed instrument sounding similarly to lute.
Claviorgani are documented in the inventories of the instruments available to the "oratorians" of S. Filippo Neri, in Rome, at the end of the 16th century
Coupling harpsichord keyboards is standard but it’s really cool to see the two instruments able to achieve that. Amazing instruments beautifully played. Bravo 👏.
BRAVO!
@@organiste You've got a pedalboard? I realize this is one of his "organ concerti" and that there are "piano" transcriptions of it. "It is generally accepted that this Vivaldi arrangement is the work of J. S. Bach; however, it was previously attributed to both Wilhelm Friedemann Bach and Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach" -- IMSLP.
@@organiste In my church work I've MIDI sequenced the Vivaldi guitar concerto complete, and am methodically using up Bach's much-overlooked 16 Konzerte nach verschiedenen Meistern -- his solo clavier transcriptions of Marcello, Telemann, Ernst etc.
That was Stunning!! I have never seen anything like that!!!! So beautiful!!! I have seen piano/reed organ combination ...that was pretty cool too but this was ....Stunning!!
Wow, that sounds so cool, feels almost magical, makes me feel like when I was a kid and listened to classical Christmas music. Just something wonderful about it that I adore.
@@bendeguznemes9871 I know, but there are many different kind of claviorgans since every country has a different kind. And within that, there are many sorts. So that's what is fascinating.
I think it’s one of the three biggest in the world. I know only two with 3 man and pedals and my instrument is one of them. The disposition is not very authentic, I conceived this instrument in a practical way. It’s supposed to be moved very often and possible to play all the organ repertoire from the renaissance to Mendelssohn. In the disposition, it was important for me to have 2 man on the organ, an open principal 8 and a 16’ reed. The dimensions had to be small. The organ with 5 1/2 stops is in fact just 63 cm deep! The only compromise is the electrical transmission to the pedal.
Merci!
Thanks. The harpsichord give a more orchestral dimension. The principal 8 form the organ is also coupled. The flute 4’ as solo is like a recorder and in a historical perspective not so bad as solo. There’s a lot of possibilities with this instrument. Certainly other ways to do this, but at this moment I think it is the best solution.
Very nice performance on an unusual keyboard arrangement. The overall sound quality is a bit disappointing though. It sounds like the pickup devices are too far away from the source. Not carping, just trying to help.
Thanks. I like the position of the mics. Very close result as you will listen if you are in a concert. The mics are about 3 meters away from the instrument.
Where are you living ? Claviorganum are not very common in any place... This instrument is specially built to me. The price is the same as a chest organ + harpsichord + little bit more for the mechanical connection between the two instruments.
I’m very happy with this instruments and I know how lucky I am to own such instruments. I get a very good price for both of them. I return, I used them as often as possible. My students are also playing on them regularly. Best regards, Ghislain
