@@mitchellmartinsky2299 I'm sure she had an influence, but I think Garrett needed to be sensitive to the emotions and the hurt of those in his circle no matter what his nitty gritty opinions were. Technically Rachel was in his circle as a friend and business partner to his (then) fiancee. I don't think every person that says blue lives or all lives matter are necessarily malicious toward the black lives matter movement. But it does raise a red flag when he has a racist history and and he bluntly disregards how those around him are probably feeling when they see that. And for obvious reasons I think how someone like Rachel sees things might actually matter in this specific situation. She's a woman of color that actually knows him in real life. She might know better than we do and Becca might actually get firsthand experience in witnessing mircroagressions. Anyway as marie jeannine said, they're in their 30s and are perfectly capable of making their own decisions.

@ Sunitha, Yep, but, when individuals are in relationships or married, if you truly want to be there, or work it out....no one can come between you....unless, Rachel slept with Garrett, these circumstances are not Rachels fault....and honestly, there is always more to it than just one thing....before all this latest stuff came up, they had been together for over 2 years and hadn't even started planning their wedding....my opinion only....but, there is something wrong with that picture...at or after 2 years you should be on your way...I do think Becca is a lovely girl and love is there for her...even if her and Garrett can work it out...I wish love for her...

Same girl. These people love to hate Rachel I swear. I really hope the best for Becca though. No one knows exactly what goes on in other's lives so I just hope Becca is doing better after this. Becca is a mature woman and can make her own decisions. Rachel had nothing to do with this.

Amen to that. When I married my husband I changed my political affiliation to that of Republican, although I never voted that way. We are now divorced and I see that his views and mine were polar opposites. I am so much happier, even though we do have a civil relationship because we have two sons.

I think she fell for him the most cause he reminded her of her dad. She didn’t really see who he was (or at least not til later after the show). There were red flags early on, she looked past them.

I agree as well. Just because he voiced his support for police doesn’t mean he hates the BLM group. Rachel needs to find something better to do than hate on people for voicing their opinions, which is something she has no problem doing. It’s sad they broke up but I could tell from the beginning their views just seemed different from one another’s.

I DEFINITELY agree! You can support black rights and opportunities WHILE also supporting good police officers, and that is the point Garrett was trying to make.

Heather Newbold well sadly he didn't express it very well. I think there was a massive breakdown in communication between them. I also think the biggest problem for Becca was that she couldn't marry someone her family disliked...and I'd bet the farm his posts and values really upset her liberal family. And I'd also bet he's very stubborn and wouldn't back down which lead to more of a communication breakdown. A vicious cycle.
