I was at this show as well. Went with a friend I’ve known since middle school. We had a great time seeing so many great BTO and Guess Who songs performed live by the legendary Randy Bachman and band.
Just discovered they're playing in Staten Island in September. Who is still original in the band? Listening now to see if BTO still has it. Opening song of course is a favorite.
Wishing I had gone to see Bachman and Turner 14 years ago, when Fred Turner was still performing. Sorry, but BTO without Turner just doesn't hold up vocally. Thanks for posting this though. I had a sneaking suspicion that Fred wasn't going to be part of this, so I skipped buying the tickets when they were here in North Dakota. This video confirms my fears. The weird thing is that if they'd just billed themselves as The Randy Bachman band or something, I'd probably have gone to see them. This is a callous use of the band's name though, in my eyes.
It's not BTO - this is the Randy Bachman Band, who have been touring many years. Randy is still TAKIN' CARE OF BUSINESS. After his brother's (Robin) death Randy has got back the royalties for the name BTO. Sad but true
Sorry, but Mick Dalla-Vee is no Fred Turner and Brent Howard Knudsen is no Davy Crockett. This should be billed as The Randy Bachman Reflections tour. More Bachman-Turner Overdrive songs and less Guess Who songs. I wonder if Burton Cummings is going to put a stop from Randy playing songs by The Guess Who.
Sadly I must agree here. Fred was the heart and soul of this once great band. I saw their first tour in Seattle with Foghat. Their early songs were magical. Now it's just a bar band.
Totally pathetic! Glad I didn't buy tickets for this mess. If you don't have original guys, get guys that can cut those parts. They sound like a bar band.
