@@paultorreyis this battery powered? I’m having a hell of a time trying to figure out the instructions on how to hook up my battery to the 4408 board. Did you use the jumper dc board like you did on the bnsf? Would love to see a little vid how this was wired I’m sure there’s others out there that would find it helpful. Thanks!
@@mscott255 the battery itself is not hooked to the board. With the Dash 9s there is a Track,Battery switch that will switch between track pick up or battery. The battery is plugged into the Multiple Unit connector that runs out by the rear coupler. The battery itself is put in a trailing box car or coal hopper. I don’t install the batteries directly into the engines as I have a fair number of engines which make purchasing batteries for each one and then installing a charger port very expensive. If you’re going to commit a battery to an engine and only run with the battery then yes you would hook that directly to the connection on the Blunami board that says “Track” for Right and Left Hand. Of course you would want to integrate a three way switch so you can switch back and forth between the charging port and running the battery.
Yes I use a trailing car for battery on multiple engines. This is my first install of blunami and it just has me stuck. So I wanna keep that dc jumper board plugged in and wire everything normally like you would if you were running on track power? I got confused because of the little green batt connector on the bachmann board but if you’re saying I can just wire it as I would if I was running track power and then just flip the switch to battery and it’ll work I’m happy to hear that. Thanks for getting back so fast!!
