Sometimes it takes a while for two people to realize that a relationship is real. Elizabeth's fears kept them apart after she lost Jack and realized she might lose Nathan in the same way. The writers could have continued their storyline and gotten them them together much sooner than Season 12 !! ❤❤

My god! That is alot of longing stares at each other, even when she was with Lucas. I'm Team Nathan all the way, but I feel bad for Lucas. Her heart was never actually with him. Great video!
She said he feels like home! They fit! She’s more comfortable in her skin with Nathan. Whether it baking cookies and rubbing a smig of frosting on his nose. She couldn’t ever feel this relaxed around Lucas. Lucas took to much freedom away from Elizabeth. He jumped in to do things without asking her. He put her in dangerous situations more than once. Perfect song for these two. Beautifully done. Theirs is such a great love story. I actually think it has been made better and stronger for all they have gone through to find their way to each other. Perfect representation of what “When Calls the Heart” mean. She went off course with Lucas but Nathan always called her heart. She finally stopped denying it to herself. We always saw it. Elizabeth let grief and fear get in the way, but her heart wanted Nathan and she finally came to terms with that. This has actually turned out to be the best telling of a great love than even we imagined. At least I think so. I think our hearts could have taken it better in a movie though so we would not be in turmoil for more than 5 years! Lol!!😊
I wonder do you all think this was truly the plan from WCTH from the beginning? That this long story arc was Elizabeth and Nathan's love story planned from the beginning of S6 or if the rumors were true because JT went to far and took the show off course he got fired and LS was hired as new showrunner to fix it.
@BeverlyR-dl5ft Nathan was made for Elizabeth! Alfonso Moreno (writer from S6&7) said as much and Kevin said exactly that! Tinker just took it off course, for whatever reason we will never find out why.
@@mrsacos yeah I know that Alfonso was back as consultant for S11 too! They brought a lot of call backs into the show to make it make sense. Lindsay did an amazing job.

Oh there are quite the few!! Some of my favorite are Jamie&Claire (Outlander), Lucifer&Chloe (Lucifer) and Booth&Brennan (Bones). None of them family friendly tho 😂🤣 but 🔥

Lucas was very romantic, it's distracting. 😂 I like him too, I just feel like he doesn't fit the original Elizabeth. It helps to go back through all of the seasons and just watch the Nathan and Elizabeth scenes as though Lucas isn't there. Of course, you don't have to and your opinion is totally valid. I just think that Nathan and Elizabeth's relationship really hit me different, without seeing the Lucas scenes mixed in. Either way, you are one of the most respectful Lucas fans ever and that's really awesome of you! 💛

Hate to say it, but her chemistry with Nathan was a lot more steamy with Nathan than with Jack OR Lucas Maybe I'm biased....but the way she looked at him compared to the other guys was just different.
