Back Button Loose On PS5 Edge Controller 

Guys, I saw extremerate released the kit to fix the back buttons

Same issue for me. I’m on my second controller now.

It's hinge pins breaking off the socket inside the controller. Crap design.

So crazy guys... Check the "extremerate" kit to replacement the back buttons. The work is medium difficukt because you need to open your pad. But woth 15 euros you have 2 pieces inside the kit to replace. You re so crazy to spend another 250 euros to buy a second edge controller 😂

Exact same issue here on day 10. Poor. Poor. Poor. It's going back.

Mine did the same.. waiting for repair from sony. That piece should be metal not plastic then we wouldn’t have this issue

Same problem, they fix the L3R3 so you can replace it, but we got other big problem with the back button, I feel like they knew it

The small pin inside is broken. I had a similar issue with both of my buttons and when i opened my controller to see whats wrong i found out that the small pin on the backbutton holder was broken.

Same here! I have to wedge something in there to prevent it from slipping

It is a great controller but it needs a shim under the paddles... like a 3M stick

Sam problem on my second one now it feels like the best controller ever …. Until u play cod day in and out just another overpriced controller broke the same paddle I drop and slide with ✌🏾🙄 on to scuff

Same here, less than 2 months old, just shipped back to sony for repair today. Order a Scuff in its place, not happy with this controler at all for being so poorly made...

I'm on number 3 same thing I now will return it before 90 day Amazon and get a new one usually get my money back the same day the I drop it off same day delivery and have $239 available you'll never not have one until they notice 😊

Mine broke today

I have 2 of these controllers... just sent one for warranty for exact same issue.... now my 2nd is doing the same thing

My only issue with it is i don't like how sensitive the paddles are its actually insane

All these people are hard on controllers. Viewer discretion advised, don't throw them If you lose and break your two hundred dollar stuff

Sorry I have to leave a dislike because there is no replacement module link like the video claims.

Do not buy this controller because the back button modules are defective & will break well before the warranty period. Ok you say the warranty covers it, but the warranty period only covers a year from the purchase date - however, if your replacement controllers inevitably break past that original purchase date, then you're out of luck & stuck with a broken replacement refurbished controller. Shame sony, shame....

All the ps5 controllers made by Sony are trash so you spend more money, buy a basic dual sense, get some Hall effect joysticks, back button mod (lots of brands out there) and a soldering kit. That should get you something as good as the pro but with joysticks that won’t die. $80 for controller like $6 for the joysticks and 20-40 for the back button mod. Then a $15 dollar soldering kit will get the job done. That’s about $150 right there instead of $200 for trash that’s still has trash joysticks that die even quicker. I’ve been through 4 controllers in less then a year all of them had the carbon pads worn down on the joysticks rendering them useless, cleaning doesn’t fix the drift. Idk why there so shit all the sudden I had one ps4 controller that came with the ps4 had that bitch when it first came out all the way to 6 months after the ps5 dropped I got one. Still got that controller still works great. Also the worst any of my controllers experience is falling 2-4 ft onto carpet so I’m not rough with them at all, remember that pic that went around of the kid who couldn’t afford a new ps4 controller so he played on his mangled one and it worked had the battery hanging out and everything.

After seeing so many post on Reddit and this I've decided not to get the edge controller and get Spiderman controller instead when it comes available again

Same here. My second controller and the same problem. I still have a guarantee on it so I'm waiting for the third controller 😂 For that price I wasn't expected issues like this.

I hate this controller! I spend 200 dollars I’m like on my 5th controller on the warranty & it’s still expensive to exchange It. The controller just sucks man! I miss the ps4 controller where you were able to buy the DualShock back button separately for like 20 bucks. I NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM. Does anybody know any better controller than this piece of shit! Pardon my French. I just can’t take it anymore. I need something more reliable & durable! Can anyone give me any recommendations. Idc about the price I just want to be able to play COD in peace with not having to deal with this anymore. Thank you in advance 🙏🏽

We have this video to take apart the module but nobody has the part available 🤣 Don’t bother taking it apart just use your warranty if you still have it.

One of the little arms where the paddle goes in breaks. Had to take mine apart and found out

Ive went through 5 in a year all because left loose paddle…..the housing for the paddles is real JUNK breaks in 2-3 months max for 215$ with tax PATHETIC

Ive taken it apart. There is the inner metal button that is garbage pot metal.. even plastic would have lasted longer

Bout my second one and just for about as long as I had my previous they stopped working…

Use a string and loop it tight between both the back buttons and it will be fine

same to mine, there is inside a black metal piece with 2 pins, one it is broken, I just arrenge to fix it, its not easy but possible. If you know where I can buy a new one let me know

Are you removing them wrong? That may have damaged it.

Same issue only fix is to flip the paddles so they facw down . Left on right side and Vice versa
