Truth be told, the vast majority of critics are employed by companies that have a stake in music artists, actors....etc that have deals with competing companies. It is their job to sway public opinion away from the the competition.

Most criticism is outta jealousy.. from a dark heart. Those that go heavy are heavily insecure. Great criticism comes from those who care or some wisdom. If song is not about anything uplifting or positive emotion I don't listen. We have only so much time in a day.

NF killed that one, but I see some crazy amount of similarities to “Best Rapper Ever” and “Cancelled” by Tom MacDonald. Not saying he did anything wrong necessarily; but I can’t ignore what I heard. I do believe there was some influence, however.

Tom has been ripping off NFs music for a while. This song and video paid my dues by NF came out dec of 2019! Way before the songs by tom you mentioned. NF had the caution tape wrapped around him in intro song in 2016 tom used it way after in 2020 or 2021. best rapper ever sooo many people said sounded like nfs intro 3 single from 2017. Toms dont look down came out after nfs clouds single with same purge sound and everything Cage tom used also nf had in outcast single from 2017. NF uses the cage to symbolize his mind. It is even an egg in background in his march 2019 search single. Black smile and balloons from nfs search theme from 2019 matches toms clown world from 2020 by tom. All toms songs you mentioned by tom came in 2020 and after! NFs came way before in dec of 2019 all the way back to 2016. So many reactors caught this. some dont react to tom anymore over this. Even crypt told me he noticed it all too but toms fans are ridiculous when he points it out.

NF used caution tape in his video? 4-5 years later someone else uses caution tape in their video, and it's a ripp-off...? NF uses a cage in his video and now it's off limits for everyone else? Same goes for a black smile or balloons? I'm sorry, did NF invent those objects/ make-up? No one else used those before, or after? Really, are you sure? What's next? NF uses his feet to walk and damn... better no one else do that...You're tripping. Who knows, maybe here or there Tom did get inspiration from NF. Personally I think they both have completely different styles. But don't make it about cages, balloons or black smiles, cause that's weak AF.

This track is a response to an article by Rolling Stone that criticized NF and how The Search outsold Chance the Rapper's album. I interpret the swinging at the beginning of the video as the the line from his song "When I Grow Up"... "The underdog, yeah, you probably think you know what I mean But what I'm saying is they ever push me, I'm gonna swing, yeah" Additionally, The Rolling Stones had a track called "Pay Your Dues".

Check out Watsky - The Lovely Thing Suite. It's 5 songs that blend into 1, so it doesn't even feel like it's 5 songs long. It's worth sitting through and Watsky doesn't get nearly as much love as he deserves. Alternatively, if you want a shorter experience go with Watsky - Welcome To The Family.
