FUJI - I’ve been hearing a lot about Gurren Lagann I’ve been hesitant to watch it bc I’m not a big fan of mecha anime, but I don’t mind watching it if it has a good story to it. So does Gurren Lagann have a good story to IT?

KEE 115 Gurren Lagann tells a great and inspiring story. The characters are hella charismatic and I was always invested in things turning out for the best. Shows rarely invoke as much emotion out of me like Gurren Lagann did. That shit had me kicking and screaming and all kinds of crazy shit I’m glad no one was around to see me do lol. Alot of people don’t like mecha because the mechs sometime take priority over the characters. Or, in some shows, the mechs don’t even matter. Gurren Lagann doesn’t do any of this. The mechs can actually function as an extension of a characters personality or emotional states, and they’re super flexible with the fights, some even happen outside the mechs. While there’s not a deep and twisted narrative with Gurren Lagann, there is a wholesome and inspiring story. So yeah you should definitely check it out. I’d give it about 8 episodes to decide on wether or not you like it 😉
