I wish I enjoyed cash games as much as I used to but I’m going to try to post as frequently as I can. Despite the fact they are harder to find, I think there is a ton of value in these mixed games tourneys so I’m going to post them as well. Thanks for the support Joe!
Thanks man, I really appreciate that. This year I’ve been focusing more on tourneys which is why I haven’t had consistent videos out but hoping to vlog some different games soon. Thanks for the feedback man, I also hope you’re doing well.
What's up dude, glad to see you back. Just curious about @9:08. That hand flops pretty smooth typically, wondering what was your thought process just calling there preflop?
Hey man, how’ve you been? As you know I like keeping the pots smaller preflop plus this hand typically flops very nutted draws where I don’t mind having other ppl in. With that being said I know a lot of ppl would choose to 3b there.
@@DonkFishPoker I've been good, busy, not playing much, but soon enough I will. Regarding the hand, yeah I could understand that also. I just thought if it also had something to do with the types of players at that table or you being in the big blind. It does play well multiway vs other types of hands so I see what you're saying
Thanks for sharing. Im appreciating the hand analysis . I just tried live plo 1-2 in south florida. I lost. Ur jacks fold shows me one of my errors over valuing top set no redraw 3 way
Thanks for watching, the plo action at the hard rock was pretty good and we’ll be back in January. Sorry to hear, with top set on a wet board it’s best to get it in on the turn as then your opponents will only have one card to hit their draws and therefore have much less equity when compared to on the flop. You’ll get them next time.
Good to see you pop up in my notifications! Hope the tourney grind has been going alright. Good solid session, some big gaps on notable hands but that's how it goes sometimes.
The KQJT with K98 flop is very interesting. A jack or a queen will give us the nut straight but if an other jack or queen comes in the river, a player with ATXX will have the Broadway straight and we loose. It's a great example why it's better to be all in at the turn. We have a thirteen outs nut draw but that King on the board makes things interesting.
AQJ3 with boat on river I don't like the river sizing. T3xx would raise the turn a lot and 32xx and A3xx raises flop often. So their ranges on river don't have many boats but one them very likely has a mediocre 3xxx hand. Therefore, bet 33-50% pot range like $75. Betting big your gonna get too many folds. If you have a bluffy aggro image you could pot.
You’re exactly right, I also would have preferred a smaller sizing looking back. I thought he had a 3 which I was right about but he made the correct fold. Thanks for the feedback man!
@@DonkFishPoker Here I use the live move of betting a $100 chip. Somehow that one chip pays more often than a $75 bet when you have to put more chips in.
To me nothing is the pocket jacks of PLO mostly because I play Omaha as post flop game as opposed to holdem where Jacks are much more of a "must raise for value/isolation" pre. The issue is more the double suited kings where you don't know long to hold on to the second nuts/second nut draw.
I have played precisely one PLO hand in my entire life in which I got it in as a three-to-one favorite and busted when the run-out gave my opponent a better full house. But I will say that I enjoy your vlogs very much.
Good win. Im having trouble when winning and trying to win back yesterdays losses. Instead of getting up from table cashing out, i stay and try to win back yesterdays losses. How do u cope with this issue?
It’s very common, it’s called chasing losses. You have to have a short term memory in poker, while it would of course be nice to win back your loss from the previous session you have to treat each session as it’s own. I’d set very hard stop losses and this will change throughout the session. If you are still steaming about the previous days loss you honestly shouldn’t be playing. Working on your mental game away from the tables will help too. I do this by exercising meditating and watching movies mostly comedies. Feel free to text me @ (732)966-7200 and I’d be happy to help you further!
whats up Donk, need a little help , I play in a very aggressive plo local game and I want to start posting some of these while hands on you tube, I just need a little help with the editing on the video. not the basics , need to find a way to display cards on the screen. I have a MAC, Im gonna hit you on whats app, cool?
agree KK plo = JJ nlh. got "coolered" by AA on AK9 flop just last night - I actually don't even think set over set is a cooler, esp on the flop in plo.
Easy, you’re playing to be able to scoop the pot which would be very difficult in that hand plus as I mentioned there are lot of hands that can draw out on my top set as you saw I would have lost the hand.
I'm pretty good over here in Vegas, just not enough bigO 😢.....I'm trying to start games , but difficult. We got some 5 card DBL board going couple nights a week
I know on the surface it looks very tight but I actually believe it was the correct fold given the circumstances. I’ve played a lot of these bomb pots over the years and you really want to be able to scoop not get the money in hoping for half. However I respect your option, thanks for the feedback
@DonkFishPoker yes the only play that trying to get value would force would be a raise or fold. The raise would have just Put you into n incredibly tough call. Or you just get a fold
