My only Concern with rainbow high dolls, is that the quality control isn’t always there. Not a problem for customizers, but a concern for collectors so I recommend buying in stores instead of online, and checking stuff like the face paint in the box. Unfortunately mine came with damaged face paint but fortunately I bought her for customizing! Btw: watch out for any red, pink or even orange doll because they’re makeup stains. Real fun time with that one, thanks Mattel. (It basically means that the paint is cheap because it is made with dye instead of pigment and well, dye stains.)

The plastic edehe protectors could be used as elbow/knee protection for a fierce warrior! (if they're able to take a bit of heat to be more rounded, of course)

Small fun facts about Jett: - her packaging is meant to resemble luggage (hence the four golden corner peices) - since she's a designer in-universe, her clothing is based off Trompe L'Oeil fashion which gives the clothes an illusion as if it was drawn like a cartoon - Her second pair of shoes were made entirely out of fabric (i want them so badly)

i love how the doll is so extra with the rainbow bangs, split died hair, the literal SEWING MASHINE, and everything else of course!! if she was available where i live, id buy her ₍ᐢ•ﻌ•ᐢ₎*･ﾟ｡

Yep, I knew you couldn't resist Jett Dawson! I'm super excited for Lily Cheng! She's the Chinese New Year doll coming out and her overall design is AMAZING! I'm hoping I can get my hands on her.

Rainbow high is such a pretty doll line. I love their molds and I wish I have one myself. The eyes of insert eyes in a factory made doll makes it feel so luxurious. Edit: you could use the plastic corners to make some kind of fun sculptural armor for a doll

My favorite doll in the series has to be Daphne Minton- I just can’t resist her mint green aesthetic! Thanks for showcasing this doll and your collection- it makes me happy to see such well-themed and quality dolls available on toy store shelves!

The fact that Catherine's husband and mother snuck back to buy the doll she liked the best to surprise her for her birthday is so wholesome and I love the extra articulation that the collector's edition doll has. It makes her poses so much more versatile and fierce.

i think the edge protectors would make great armor pieces! especially shoulder pads

this is such a high quality doll, i love all the attention to details. I didnt think they still made dolls like this in the toy industry. While she is gorgeous i think it would still be cool if you gave her a few touch ups! Her actual hair has that vrey obvious fake look and is flat on the head, which looks like she hasnt washed in days XD. Her makeup ( eyebrows and eyeshadow) would look much nicer drawn by an artist as well.

I love the Rainbow High dolls, but I can't justify buying them new for myself. So, imagine my surprise when a few days ago I found one in good condition at my local thrift store. She even had most of her clothes and her shoes on!

I really do love the Rainbow High Dolls. I recently bought a few for 20 dollars each for customization and I absolutely love them. They have such a lovely sculpt and a good variety of skin tones. Was fun making inset eyes for them!

Jett is one of my favorites too, and I was so bummed that there was no normal version of her without the premium price tag. But much to my surprise, several online retailers put her on sale for about half price earlier this month, which is how I got mine! The tag and all but one box corner were missing, and her box had a huge dent (and that's coming from Amazon of all places), but I was just happy to get the doll, and now she lives on my desk as my buddy! XD I'm with you, it's so hard to justify customizing these guys given how nice they look and how good the quality is (especially at that price point), but every time I've bought one, they've had a lot of defects when coming from an online retailer at full price (Jett is the only one who didn't). Thanks to other doll community members, I learned about MGA's help desk form, and when I've had problems I've gone to them. Most of the time they're very polite, and I try to be extra polite back because I know their job can't be easy. They helped replace my Stella with two left feet and arm stains and my Daria with leg stains and weird paint mistakes on her face. Like I am NOT the type to go to customer service unless it's a really big mistake that I can't fix myself. So I have some dolls that are "display ready" and an extra, and I think we all know what that means. XD Really want to customize one of these girls to have that Mia's Daydream ethereal nature, like gosh I wanna make inset eyes like she does! But to answer your question, it's hard to pick a favorite! I gravitate towards all the pink and purple girls, but Poppy and Sunny are some of my favorites in the show. I think Daria is my favorite doll so far besides Jett, it's the hair man, I LOVE that hair and the puffed sleeves on her fully black outfit with the rose embroidery.

I absolutely love how her base outfit looks like it's straight out of a comic. I love when clothing emulates the lines of more traditional art like that!

I've been trying to resist buying this doll for a while now because of the price tag but oh my god.... Seeing this, I really want her in my collection !

Omg she's so cute!!! I can see why you like her. Also love how the little boxes are reusable , helps prevent waste and you can use then for different things such as pins, earrings, earbuds, or for their intended purpose.

my boyfriend's a dol collector, right now mainly with LOL OMGs and rainbow high- i remember when he first got Jett Dawson, I think that was one of his first RH. He's got the full first series of the RH now and a ton more, and a few monster high dolls as well that look very nice- three extremely full shelves in only a bit les than a year, its really impressive

I just recently got into Rainbow High dolls and I am in love. I would longing stare at Ruby until I bit the bullet and got the cheerleader Sunny (who is my favorite). For Christmas, my boyfriend surprised me with Jett and a bunch of others! I was so pleasantly surprised at the quality and accessories of Jett.

I've been collecting the rainbow high dolls myself, so I got this one for Christmas! I was so happy with her quality, and this one in particular sings to me because I'm a sewer myself, so it made me so happy that she came with all the supplies that any seamstress would have! And her eyes are just spectacular! I love the way all rainbow high doll's eyes are, but this one takes the cake!

my favorite that I've seen so far is definitely Poppy :) not only is orange my favorite color, but I love the little butterflies on her, it makes her looks so soft ! Anyways, I'm glad you got to see your friends and family and have a good time ^^ happy birthday in advance !!

Jett Dawson and Carmen Major are my favorites so far. Jett is just gorgeous and Carmen's 80s inspired look makes me so happy every time I look at her.

The corner protectors would be great to make small chests! Like the type you find in an attic, full of dust and need a littlr bit of force to open even though it doesn't have a lock, sometimes you fund your grandma's wedding dress others some memoirs and old toys

These are some of the prettiest factory manufactured dolls I have ever seen. The articulation in the waist and ankles and wrists!! UGHH!!! And the beautiful inset eyes!! Also all the different skin colors! I just wish they had dread locs and the sort for darker skin tones. I love love love

Ahhhhhh! It was so nice to see you open and show off this doll! I have one myself that I got as an early Christmas gift from my boyfriend, and I just cant bring myself to open it up! I actually found a Bella Parker in a thrift store here in the states for only $2!! she only had a dress and tights on, with her earrings and headband, no other clothes. But her hair was in a gorgeous condition and only required a quick wash out and brushing!!! I absolutely adore her and the factory paint on the doll is incredible too.

Rainbow high definitely isn’t even close to my favorite doll, but they’re definitely one of the higher quality dolls on the market imo.. I mean, I remember seeing a time when Barbie’s and Monster High dolls had the plastic clothing. I enjoy the thought put into the rainbow high doll’s clothing (I might buy a shadow high doll I spotted earlier this week, she was very pretty!)

I am so enamoured with this doll line...the amout of articulation leaves me with heart eyes, I didn't know it was that detailed!

I really like that those wheels swivel and roll on the dress form, it's an unnecessary detail that is really cool. Also the additional articulation is sick! It looks nearly seamless but it makes sense to articulate those parts, the engineering in this doll is very cool.

This is SO CUTE. Reminds me of growing up with a doll-sized sewing machine for barbies that was hot pink and also had a moving needle and fly wheel, and had a small wind-up on the side that when released would make the wheel move really fast and make the needle move in turn, making it look like it was continually sewing something. Now that I'm a (very much novice and hobbyist) seamstress I'm in love with the doll sized dress form and (seemingly accurate?!?) tape measure like how cute omg
