Hey, Grandma Bente! I'm 26 years old, I live in New Jersey and I have been looking for an adoptive Grandma since I became an adult. My last surviving grandparent Mary Frances Smallwood Kenner died when I was still a kid. She was old school strictly religious. She was not proud of me like she was of the other 13 grandchildren and the great grandchildren. She died while she was VERY disappointed in me because of my disrespectful behavior and because of how off track I was as I was always doing things my parents told me Not to do instead of doing the right thing. It hurts that I never made her proud nor my grandfather (whom I was named after) proud of me. The good news is I finally grew out of that ugliness and blossomed into a handsome adult. It hurts that my grandparents never were able to see the bloom because my dream was to make my grandparents proud of me. My heart has not been the same since my last surviving grandparent died. The only choice i have is to just be kind. Grandma Pat, I want you to be my Grandma instead. We're both born in May, I love your white hair, the type of Grandma I always wanted, and I also want you to be proud of me no matter what.
dont you worry, your grandparents will know ... they are still there... only the body dies, not the spirite (or soul).... So you live in New Jersey... I had a friend from there lovely woman.... good to know you like the way you have grown... life is a challenge...
Dear Grandma Bente, Next time don’t change your money in the airport! This is always a bad deal. They see you coming and count on your inexperience. Once outside the airport ask any civilian where is the best exchange office. Then you will receive the fair exchange rate.
you are right, this time I had no choise... now I have an acc opened in a russian bank, and they are open till 8 pm... so that my first stop before going to hotel to pay... )))
тоже рада знакомству... да, старые камни могут рассказать много историй))) Выложу видео о моей встрече с куратором Роджером Курбановым в МГУ, мы пошли на прогулку, так как университет закрыт на каникулы... и у нас состоялся очень интересный разговор, где я узнал много нового... glad to meet you too... yes old stones can tell many stories ))) I will post a video on my meeting with Curator Roger Kurbanov at the Moscow State University, we went for a walk as University is closed during holidays... and we had a really interesting talk, where I learnt new things...
Good day to you. Thank you for visiting Russia. You are an interesting person. My husband, though not a geologist, used to go to so called 'school faculty' from age 10. This 'school faculty' has been organized by Московский Геологоразведочный Институт имени Орджоникидзе. They sent their students to schools and agitated children to participate this faculty class to study geology after school. They studied about minerals, fisics, they went to forest and lived in tents, studied how to make fire in winter... Also they went to different rigeons to actual mines and rocks research. Some kids continued their education in that university. And we mat with my husband because now all grown ups thеy still are friends 😊
That is very interesting, the system of encouraging kids to do such studies and do research and field work after school... I waited till I was 71 when I ''retired'' and thats what I do... Was a social worker in Africa and East Asia for 45 years... ... so having studied for 12 years just reading everything I coud put my hands on... its time to go out and find some of these things... my main interest is Paleo- ... i.e. early man... and early Earth.. the more I study the more its the geology that I find most interesting... and there Russia is a treasure trove... Just the tectonics alone... ... I had a good talk with Roger Kurbanov who turned out to be not a geologist but a geographer... I recorded our walk and talk ... and that video is coming soon !!! )))) thanks agin for telling me about your husband's studies...
What a beautiful lady 😍 Hello from Moscow. There is a pretty good paleontology museum of Orlov in Moscow, as I remember there was a huge collection of prehistorical insects which stucked in an amber and other fossils.
I visited the Vernadsky geology Museum, that had such... ... but did not know there was one more... Vernadsky Museum... has rocks dating back 34 Billion years... .. onwards... thank you for the data.
Yes exactly... I like the street, so green its like a village in the city... Its a very good area... I was here last year too... and love walking that street... wow 7 years you know the street well ))))
Thank you... yes that alone is a win !!! Learning to read the street signs and signs ... and metro stations... its a good excersice for getting more certainty on the alphabet... the alphabet is the key... if I can sound out the words I can also learn to talk ... generally the counds of your alphabet is very like Danish sounds... not like English !!! so its a beginnig )))
Inspirerende med dit gå på mod og gode humør Bente. Dejligt at alt faldt på plads for dig i Moskva i løbet af de første 24 timer..... lige med undtagelse af 'eye brow pencil' altså 😀
thank you for the data... and advise... I have read about Ulan-Ude but did no know there is a Geology Museum... I looked up Ulan Ude on Wikipedia... talked about ethographis museum.. and an outdoor museum with old wooden buildings and churches... What the name of the Geology Museum ?
@@oldbagira2192 Have now looked up exactly where Uland Ude is and how far from Novosibirsk... well ... since I started studying AP Okladnikovs work, I have wanted to go to the Altai... so beautiful !!!!!!!! ... and now I see Ulan Ude is right there in the middle, must be the Capital of Buryatia ... WOW... Whats the best season to do a MINI-hike in the Altai ? I like it cool!!! NOT COLD ))))... and for an old girl like me not used to mountain walking ... DENMARK IS SO FLAT.... whats the best places to do a 2-3-4 days hike ? Are you on VK ?... if so we can communicate there too... Its all so very exciting and wonderful...
Также рекомендую город Кировск на Кольском полуострове. Там огромная коллекция минералов со всего мира, а зимой видно северное сияние. Впрочем, наверняка в России можно найти много коллекций минералов
Glad you like it... its just as it is, a love ly day back in Moscow, on MY street haha ha... love this area... 10 km from Red Scquare but still in Moscow... and 5 minutes away from one of the main traffic veins Mira Prospect... such an insteresting street going back to 900 AD !!!! coming up next !!!! 9999
Good afternoon! In Russia, there is a popular paleontologist Stanislav Drobyshevsky. It tells interesting stories about humanity and antiquity. And also conducts excavations for which you can sign up and come in the summer.
WOW that is very good and useful news.... THANK YOU !!!! Thank you very much. I looked him up on wikipedia... and will find out more about his work... that he delivers/conducts courses and ekspedition sounds very interesting... so he works where Kurbanov works... WOW ...
Aber Danke Schoen )))... Well its really just a mateer of never give up.. and always do what you yourself think is important... and then training... ))))
