Welcome to Back Again: 1975, a grand scale, persistent and interactive ArmA 3 campaign, with out-of-game content to go with it. This is the first session of the main operations, streamed live.

I feel like people ignore the fact that foehammer -Got his helicopter shot down and landed it in tact -Narrowly avoided getting crushed to death by the evac chopper that also crashed -escaped behind enemy lines under fire from vc -and lived through all of it What a fucking trooper

Honestly, if you're not nicking everything the enemy hasn't nailed down (and if it _is_ nailed down, pinching the nails as well) and using it to kill them, are you even trying to win?! - Every British soldier post-1900 ever, probably

10/10 realism. Troops entered Vietnam thinking it would be fine, immediately got screwed by AA fire, logistics messed up all their supplies and everyone is in chaos.

That Huey pilot was an absolute chad. He knew he was going to die and felt absolutely no fear XD And Felix is also a chad for charging an AA gun with a pistol purely so he could steal one of the crew's SMGs to keep engaging the enemy. I'm pretty sure that's a Medal of Honor.

I talked about him in the comments of the Stream video; I think that he deserved a Distinguished Service Cross instead. He went from one side of the hostile airfield to the other, relatively close to the Frontlines. If it was more like across Miles of Enemy Territory then the MoH would be appropriate. But since the Medal requires Congress to vote directly on it; maybe put it up for a community vote?

Gotta love the logistical nightmare that resulted in Rimmy needing to use his god power to teleport water, food, ammo, and vehicles since the damn choppers kept losing their tails due to Arma being a bitch. Poor Rimmy’s sanity took some hard hits during this and I loved every second of the four hour stream.

Xian's art is so cool! I'm looking forward to more weeks of grueling supply line nightmares and frustrating miscommunications, just like real warfare. 😤 But one unique thing about this persistent campaign -- I'll be leading the same squad, every time, with mostly the same guys. Over time I could see us filling in our gaps, our weaknesses, teaching each other how to avoid mistakes, and becoming a well oiled... Competent unit, in time.

He left out two good moments, 1: the helicopter going down in Saigon right before noticed the aa and misreported it as a .50 machine gun and when down in view of the guys in the embassy 2: a helicopter’s tail blade got arma’d and rimmy only managed to save it cause warpig pointed it had arrived making rimmy look up. Seriously watch the steam, it’s pretty good even with all the bugs

Caught the last chunk of this live & "F me dead" was said by Rimmy quite a few times due to technical difficulties causing the desync, bugs & a few teething problems for the logistics but Rimmy did a grand job adapting on the fly & although stressful I feel like he dealt with it well & hopefully the next op will run smoother. From the point I caught it from Digby's trousers were pretty much entirely red from wounds so they matched his red beret & poor Warpig sounded like he just needed a hug & some painkillers as he was co-ordinating the air resources & the desync was screwing with everything & left him with a raging headache. Was super fun to watch though & the downed heli Pilot carrying his wounded buddy out after securing himself a better weapon was awesome, well done Chaps!

Honestly if that VC on the AA ended up walking away, I hope that man gets a fluff piece where he's congratulated by Ho Chi Minh himself for taking out a whole US squad. That man is a national hero! I was there for the first 50 minutes of the stream. Wasn't able to catch all of it because I needed to sleep, but it was a blast to watch. Especially with the music that was playing in the Heli and all the other stuff. Idk much about Arma but aren't those weapons stations meant to be unbreakable?

couple questions about this game, do you get to respawn after you die in a campaign? Or is it up to a zeus or wait until the next campaign starts? Are a lot of communities super tryhard and not open to new players?

Respawning depends on the campaign/Zeus. Some are one-life-only, some are fine with respawns. As for community, it depends on which group you are part of. There are tryhards and there are also more fun groups.

Why you using Huey gunships in 1975, they were replaced by AH-1s long before? Especially the M3 launchers (24-pack), those things went out with the UH-1Bs Can't imagine somebody not having a mod for AH-1s
