Aesthetically this guitar is such a weird jumble, but it works spectacularly. Great playing as always, Dave. Take care of yourself and lean on those around you for support. I often struggle with dark mental places, and it's been music and guitar that has always been my harbor. You are loved and you have amazing gifts to share with the world, brother.

That's one hell of a great guitar! And just FYI, when the grain in the neck runs straight up and down like that, it means that the neck wood was quarter sawn, which is as good as it gets in terms of strength, tone and stability.

Great video thanks man. Take good care of yourself and hang in there. Guitar can be great therapy and I feel i t helps me tremendously in my day to day life. It takes me away from this crazy world for a while. I need at least an hour or two of that everyday or else I’m just not right. My wife and I are in some really trying times right now but somehow all that stress and worry just goes away when I play guitar. So this video definitely struck a chord with me and I just want to say that you’re not alone. Stay strong brother and keep up the fight. ✌🏻🤘🏻🎸

Oooh baby when you went all one-handed at around 23 mins there's an insight people of the tube into the right hand technique and the-knowing-of-the-notes...I've been playing 38 years now and still don't have all the knowing-of-the-notes...it's not too late, but it would have been good to get it going earlier on I think. But it's also a testament to the-treatment-of-the-tone too which lets the notes-that-are-known breathe expression direct from the soul and out through the body, into the instrument and across the airwaves into our ears and hearts. Oh yes. Keep onwards Dave, though life might seem like 4 flat tyres on a muddy road right now*, we can only keep going for the good times to come, and how can they not come when you conjour up magic like this for us? *actually BFG's description of the ideal ZZ Top sound 😀 but a good metaphor for struggles in modern life too

Great sounding pickups..have that midrange hump that cuts through a mix. When life brings you down Dave...try deep breathing exercises to shut off the internal dialogue and rest the mind. It is what playing the guitar does to an extent but like guitar, with practice you can control that on/off brain switch....hope you are uplifted and inspired!

I recommend a Boss SL-2 to work with that RC-10R. I have mine with midi sync and it is awesome dude.

Keep your chin up Dave...I've been where you are...it's lonely... even though it feels like it, you're not and never will be alone...may I suggest you do what I'm doing, which is looking into and researching Psychedelic Therapy. The studies are impressive in their treatment of mental health conditions, especially the use of psilocybin. It's worth a look. Take care my friend, it will pass. x
