Omg so true, couple of months ago I was braiding my friends hair as she wanted it tied up but with a style and I'm the only one who can do different hair styles. So then I was mid doing it and the teacher goes "girls this is a classroom not a hairdresser hurry up and finish"
Now as a teacher remembering how good this felt as a kid, I don’t mind it. Especially during story hour.. relax and zone out. It’s okay! Students are on all day long, they need times to zone out. And for some kids during this helps them listen and learn because their hands are occupied. I miss this! It actually makes me happy when I see it cause I know how special it is.
I’d have loved being in your class! I loved having my hair played with, but my friends would get in trouble every time the teacher caught them. There needs to be more teachers like you!
same, i used to love my friends playing with my hair so now i encourage it because it's a sweet bonding action (grooming behaviour) and alot of kids with adhd can concentrate better through this type of thing. my teacher used to think i wasn't listening to the stories but it helped me listen better as i was relaxed
Thanks sweetheart I wish everyone the same😊 I already have my man he does this for me whenever I ask him He is the sweetest man alive I got him after tremendous previous relationships' failures plus trauma... I guess he came into my life after all I had to go through in the past yet to let me know that life can still be such a good place 😊❤❤ life can still bring you happiness ❤❤
Loved doing this in class! Even in elementary school when we all gathered on the floor to hear the teacher read a story! Ur just sitting there, & outta nowhere u feel the person behind u playing w/ ur hair! Loved this 1!
15:55 wow. I think I just enjoy someone being so delicate, careful and precise with someone else. It’s so caring and like, loving in a way. I think that’s what makes things feel nice, the softness and care
At my school we used to put our arm out, palm side up, and get some of the girls to stroke our palm, wrist and forearm. It felt amazing. Looking back, that was one of my first experiences of ASMR but that was many years ago, before anyone would have known what to call it.
Ahhhh the memories! I was lucky to have one teacher who didn't mind us playing with each other's hair so long as our work was done, or sitting on the floor during story time.
Youre spoiling us with all these videos lately August 🥹🥰 thank you for another soothing, tingly video with your super calming model 🥰 always get excited when I see youve both done another video!
You just reminded me of a time I played with my older sister’s hair in the car when I as a child. She’s unfortunately deceased now so thank you for giving me the gift of that memory ❤❤❤
My first asmr experience was in kindergarten, my best friend said "i'm doing your hair now" and she did. It made me remember that, it was about 30 years ago...
Please next time.. can you roll up your sleeves? There is so much fabric noise that I couldn’t get the feeling of the brush..the mics are picking up the sounds of your sleeves instead of
I think August is the type that if she feels uncomfortable at a party she'll just turn to the person next to her and start braiding their hair. They'll ask her what she's doing and she'll just whisper "Oh don't worry about it".
I use to pay (☝🏼 icecream money) my neighbours daughters to come over and do "what ever" to my hair. 😴💤 i looked like a freak when they were done, but it was worth it. I only have boys so when they were very small i could persusde them to fiddle a bit with my hair.. but when they got a bit older there was no money in the world that make'em do it. If only you were my neighbour..... 🙄🤭 (im talking about hair and playing hairdresser for relax, nothing else) just being clear here so no one misunderstands. its so relaxing, loved it since i was i child. Thanks for uploading ❤️
Oh this is just lovely. Really simple but so gentle, comforting and relaxing. Thank you so much for taking the time out of your life to do this lovely video for us. 🙏😊
Who's doing who the favour here!! I'd more than happily PAY for someone to do all these ASMR treats to my hair, skin, face & and body!! The sitter is a very lucky lady!! Good job, girls, I can barely type my hands are so relaxed!!❤
This was the beginning. Sitting at an assembly, telling your best friend to play with your hair (there was no asking then...only telling 🤷🏻♀️) and not knowing why acting like grooming monkeys was so satisfying.
The one girl I’m still friends with from the one school I attended she always experimented with different types of braids in my hair in class. Our history teacher never paid attention to me n her
It is one of the best ASMR video I have seen in a while !! It was so relaxing that I think I watched It five times in a row. I was kind of in a "trance mode" or something 😉. It is pretty rare that a video can bring us to this level of peacefulness ! You did an excellent job on this one ! 😊👍
I remember in high school I used to have long, long hair, and the African American girls would always ask to play with it and internally I was thinking oh thank god 😩😩🫶🏼😂
awww...my fave trigger!!!it gives me so much tingles...i remeber when i was a kid,my cousins was playing with my hair....i experimented a pleasant chill all over my body!!!!
I watch/listen to this one more times than I care to admit…it really helps me concentrate at work! And each time I do I smile when August offers her pen to Lucy…there was and is no greater honour than being offered someone’s favourite stationery 😅🎉❤
It was strange how many girls asked to play with my hair -especially in Science class in 6th grade. I had the longest hair in the school but had no idea it was such a “big thing “ to touch it
I have short curly hair now but when I had it long enough to reach my hips, the person behind me would always separate my curls since she wouldn’t be able to comb it. We both found out my hair can get easily tangled 😅
