Thanks Dan - a brilliant video and great outcome for your customers. I’m a big fan of Fischer fixings - a used them for years. A bit more expensive but totally dependable.
Nifty radiator top up. I once replaced a large accumulator which had to be repiped. The old one had a reduces from 22mm to something crazy like 54mm. I kept that and use it as a funnel with a compression elbow. Works a treat and it was free lol.
Just a small hint!! When fitting a rad I always fit one bracket using the holes not the slider and the other in the slider. This means that when trialing the level with the rad you know only one side can move - makes levelling easier!! Why didn't you extend the 8mm using a Speedfit coupler to go to the valve and use a reducer in the valve? Rads can look simple but can take hours!!
Just because 15mm looks better in my opinion, and bit more hard wearing against the vaccum 😂 but great shout on the rad brackets.. why the hell didn’t I think of that 😂😂😂
@@Heatking Good point re pipes - I was thinking of the ones that come out from the back which don't go to the floor - and 8mm would indeed look very spindly especially if dented!!
Sorry but on the 10 to 15mm conversion to the rads what was the point if you did not go back to the 15mm or 22mm supply/return.?You have not improved the heat capacity of the radiators.
Did I not say in the video, sorry my bad. It’s only to make it look a bit better and 15mm is a bit more robust against the vacuum cleaner getting smashed into them.
