Wonderful find Bill and great eyes finding it! I poked around a bit in the Mohave this weekend and noticed the bugs were a bit pesky...and here I thought the desert was devoid of flying bugs. Sadly, the only thing I came home with with a bunch of prickers in my hands from the cacti and a coat of dust all over me. Still had fun though, which is the ultimate reason for being out there, otherwise I would have tossed my detector in the garbage by now.

Your having an epoch day Bill,i bought me a used Gold Monster 1000, and i am leaving Virginia and heading back to Arizona,use to live in Prescott, before everyone decided to move there lol, You and Tammy stay safe.

That pile had your name on it. I'm highly allergic to noseeums. Calgon morning glory fragrance spray works better than anything I've tried. It makes you smell girlie but it works. The salt marshes here in Florida are loaded with the hateful little so and so's.

Mr.Bill about those gnats/no,seeums, a dryer sheet under your hat generally works kinda good. Don't fold just lay it on your head and put your hat on. Friend here in Florida. Plus you'll smell good

Looks like you found a good place to detect and got a few (7) little chunks of gold . The only problem with when you tried to show us each find in your scoop you couldn't line up the scoop and the camera , besides the shadows you held the scoop too high ! Well the best part was you didn't get skunked ! Your old lady isn't going to be to happy about not taking her along with you . Have a great day

I use to do a lot of pan fishing before the wreck. I got chased out of a few fishing holes by the bugs one to many times. So one day I was at the Army surplus story and I was talking with a young man that worked there he also was big time hobby fishermen and I started to tell him of a nice spot I had found but the bugs drove me out of there. So he told me to follow him and he showed me these bug nets that you wear over your hat and it keeps the bugs out of your face. So for two bucks I said I'd give it a try. Let me tell you them bugs tried hard to get to my face and ears but that net stopped them.So I went back and got me two more for just encase I'd loose one or if someone wanted to go out fishing with me they could use one... Out of all my fishing tackle those face nets are the best few bucks I eave spent... I seen that even Walmart now has them in the sporting good dept... I thought about them when you said that those bugs were eating you up.. Be blessed my friend in Jesus name... BBE,,

hello Bill, i live near Tracy area, northern ca about 60-70 miles from old prospect gold country. being newbies using ML GM 1000, not sure where to start in this northern ca. any suggestion if you had been this part of the state? i like to well spend my time even if i get at least one that will be a good lesson learning the ML 1000. i had used the Garrett AT Pro and ACE 300 pulsa on coins, jewelries, and relics, never used the VLF. if you ever come to this part of ca, plz give me a buzz. i can always have a partner go with me, a retiree. thanks for your great video, bob

the worse thing ever are New Zealand sandflies, thousands will swarm you and bite, even with insect repellant on they will try and bite, I can only handle them for a few hours before I have to leave.
