I've had a backpack blower for about 8 yrs now and it has been a huge blessing! I now have a blower that is part of my shop vac that comes in handy around the house. Where I'm at there are an over abundance of sycamore trees and the leaves are just so big, my backpack blower makes quick work of them.
Great topic!! Sarah picked a good one! I started with a handheld but now carry backpacks only due to the properties I service. Your dead on.!!!! Sometimes a BR 600 or 800 or echo 9010 isn’t necessary to complete the job! Sometimes they make it more difficult!! I still carry a handheld on the truck as well as …….. a ryobi battery powered blower that I started with just for the beds. I know I’ll catch some grief for that but that’s fine. You can’t use it when all has broken down if you don’t have it. Alot of us carry a variety of equipment for reasons.. Does it help grow your business or not? As well as personal preference and properties should be the deciding factor I believe.
Very well said! I don't see a problem with battery powered when it comes to a hand held blower. I wouldn't want one for a backpack but a small one, like you said, comes in handy and if the others are broken you are still working! God bless brother!
As a homeowner, I prefer the backpack over the hand held. I have both, but for full air power distribution- backpack. Glad Sarah is taking some time off to shop, relax! Be well brother.
I can see your point on the backpack, still nice to have the handheld for those small jobs. She is out spending the money, lol. Thanks brother and you as well
I think I would recommend to find the lightest backpack gas blower possible to use. I know husqvarna has a really light one. Reason being bigger gas tank and has more power than a handheld. Also battery blowers eat batteries 🪫
Thought your mower had its own humidifier built in for a minute there 😂 nothing like wet grass. Keep up the good work brother. I also just recently got a backpack blower used a handheld for my first 3 years
Hey Shane, man you are a smooth operator on that V-Ride. Great topic/message today. You certainly do not need an backpack blower to be successful. It is an upgrade/luxury and I’m blessed to have one. Since you already have a BR800 it might be of benefit for you to add a BR600 or handheld if you with. Just thinking as a solo it would be nice to have an option but having it on your shoulders is a plus in my mind. God Bless brother! 👊🏻
Oh it’s handy , backpack blowers get so cumbersome and heavy to blow a bit of grass. I have both and grab the handheld first unless the situation needs a backpack blower
Brother I use my echo handheld blower that thing is a beast of a Machine I love it 175 bucks to own it great for smaller yards but for big yards just use the backpack blower
Hey, Doc! Sarah, that's a great topic! My first blower was electric. It was, well, it was okay. Then, a Stihl BG65c was dropped in my lap about 10 years ago. It's a handheld blwer, but it kicks butt! It keeps up with my neighbor's (I think it's a Toro) back pack blower. Would I like a back pack blower? Sure! The first blower I ever used was an echo back pack when I was employed one of the first landscaping/lawncare companies I worked for. I felt like I was being pampered! hahaha! Any, yeah, I know, blah, blah, blah! Nice work out there! Hope you guys have a GREAT day! Hi, Sarah!😁
Honestly doc I have both for summer time when the grass isn’t crazy I use my handheld 90% of the time now if I have to get jobs done faster I take the backpack blower but I feel the only time it helps now it’s not necessary but I use mine for leaf cleanups and spring grass
It’s 10 after 1am , been waiting on docs video all night 😂 I use br700 and billy goat walk behind in leaf season 👊🏼🇺🇸🦅 I started out with bg86 Stihl handheld blower, I still use around the house, I made lots of money with handheld blower, nothing wrong with it at all 👊🏼
If your new I apologize. I try to show work in most of my videos before I get to the topic. No offense but hard to make everyone happy on RU-vid. Thanks for hanging in there and supporting 👊💯🙏
What’s your opinion on an FS 56 RC, Doc? Second year in part timing it still and now up to 22 clients while working four days a week for the larger Landscaping company I work for. But just curious on your thoughts on it and how it might hold up?
