Oh I so know what you mean... you forget the power of Pilates when you feel good, then to only realise that the 'Pilates effect' does wear off if you don't practise regularly. Consistency is key for sure, but just a couple of times a week should do the trick! More is of course fine too if you deem it necessary :) xx

Hi loved the video was good workout whilst relaxing too I was just wondering do you have any advice or videos for how to ease/get rid of pain in specific points/parts of the back like for me I have pain mainly in one specific part that just hurts all day Thank you🤗

I’ve been looking for a good Pilates channel for ages, I have dodgy facet joints which puts my back into spasm for a few days. It’s currently in this state now. Once this spam is over I’ll be trying this routine.

3rd week completing your two back care videos and today is the first day I have managed to do the pigeon on both sides! I couldnt believe how tight my legs were!

Hi there - it depends what the cause is of your back pain. If it's tight hamstrings or hipflexors, then yes, it'll be aggravated by running. I've had people in my classes before who told me that running has really helped with their back issues, so it really depends on what is causing the pain in the first place. You will need to get a better understanding of why that area of the body hurts. Have a look at my webinar for more information on root causes. It may help!

Love all of your videos! I dislocated my right shoulder a few years a go, if you have an exercise you strongly advise that would help strengthen the muscles I would very much appreciate it, TIA Alexandra

@@KalmPilatesChannel I have full mobility and I was told I made a speedy recovery, however it is very easy for me to dislocate. Especially when trying to surf, sometimes happens in my sleep, very annoying. Thanks :)

I actually once had a lady in my class who dislocated her shoulder just by moving her arms overhead. When the ambulance came, I had a chat with the medical officer and he told me that if you have dislocated your shoulder several times, it gets easier and easier to dislocate it as the ligaments have been stretched. You are right that you can strengthen the muscles around it though, you just have to keep control over the alignment and the movement. On this occasion, I would actually advise to speak to a physiotherapist, just to confirm which movements to avoid. A shoulder strengthening exercise I really like is the Dolphin Pose - you can do it static so that the chance of dislocation is very small... x
