Some of the finest singing in "Americana" music I ever heard. It's sad that this amazing duo never found a wider audience. I guess they are too soul for country, and too country for mainstream or pop type mass distribution . And they're not young glamorous hotties, Tik Tok sensatons, but real veterans of life and great artists. I never heard them or even about The War and Treaty until I was researching some live performances of the great James Ingram, and other male vocalists, when fortunatley, some ubiquitous algorithm offered this link. Jaw dropping solos by each of them, and resonating harmonies. Wow! They have a serious fan, who is studying the roots of blues, gospels and the fusions with folk tunes and "country". and things like Piedmont blues.
Really like seeing the enjoyment the performers (all three here) derive when they all just know they're creating something so beautiful, crushing a performance. What a great story about him and how they got together, the story of the group name, etc... 10/10 performance, story, everything here.
Amazing. I was looking through shows at Abeyance Bay and saw you were going to be there. I wasn't familiar with your work... now I am. Can't wait to see you there.
