Back to Baa Atoll, Maldives - Dhonfanu, June 2024 

I went back to Maldives Baa Atoll, first week of June 2024. After a quick transfer via Male and Daravandhoo airports, I split the week between 3 nights in Kihaadhoo which you can view in the first video and 3 nights in Dhonfanu. I slept at Fehi Velaa Stay, it was the only gueshouse built on this small inhabited island and I was the only guest staying there at that time. I enjoyed the food cook by Janeesh from Kerala, viewing the beautiful sunset at Dhonfanu harbour, snorkeling on the housereef, which is really far from the shore unfortunately, no currents, warm water, healthy corals, plenty of tropical fish including hawksbill turtle, stingray, eagle ray, blacktip sharks, moorish idols, butterfly fish... Dhonfanu is only 3 mins by speedboat from the world famous and Unesco protected marine park Hanifaru Bay where you can swim with Mantas between June to October, and if you are really lucky even see a whale shark.
