I am in rail and this is so helpful. usually tutorials ignore rail and don't even mention SIL4, whereas in rail most of the functions are SIL4. I'll see if I can recommend exida.

Very interesting. As a former NAVY nuclear reactor operator and electronics tech, we only had two sets of critical instruments and none were tied in to do "automatic" shutdowns. Everything was in the hands of the operator (typically a 19-20 year old kid). I'm watching this video because a competitor of mine in industry is claiming that their product is SIL 4 capable. I have serious doubts on his claim.
