This week I have been busy preparing for craft markets and I thought I would show you some of my lino printing project. I made 3 stamps this week to use for greetings cards and I’m really happy with the final results but I still have a lot to learn about printmaking. Are there any designs you would like me to try out next time?

What did you paint the block with, this is a great idea to let you see where your cutting

I need to say, best to never put a hand in front of the tip of the blade! 😬 😱 My father is a sculptor and use similar tools when carving wood and soapstone so I grew up with such accidents (my dad’s) and a lot of warnings when I dabbled in carving as well 😂 but it also applies to lino carving! Be safe ;)

I know it's a really bad habit of mine, and thanks for the reminder! I think I need to invest in somting to stop the lino blocks from sliding on my desk when I'm cutting them! But don't worry I still have all my fingers for now! 😆
