Macey, “shirt maker”, here. Just wanted to let it be known that my mom, “Macey’s Mom” aka Shelley, is the true “shirt maker”. She designed the front of those shirts for hours picking out fonts, colors, styles. We both love you all!!!
Thanks Mace! Yes, I am the official Shirt Maker 👚. I’m good at getting distracted from getting other things done, like housework. 😉 If you guys ever want some help with Merch, let me know. I’m not super creative, but I think I can come up with something better than “Here’s a carrot,” or whatever one of you suggested for a shirt on the podcast!
Once again, Katie! You made me feel so seen. The intrusive thoughts when you first have a baby are WILD and constant. 😂 The mounted baby monitor falling on him, the crib breaking down and collapsing, a wasp coming in the house and stinging him, the list goes on. The other day I started worrying about what we would do for formula in the event of an apocalypse! Thanks for always being relatable to the mommas.
This was a GREAT Episode! 👏🏻 Laughed out loud multiple times. The whole fire ladder, blaming each other part really got me. Can’t wait to go to the live pod in 3 weeks! 👏🏻
I’m new to the pod, about 2 mths ago and have literally went and watched/listened to every episode from the beginning!! Lol 😂was looking forward to this new episode!! ❤❤ best podcast ever!!
They use to have another podcast as well Do less God Bless I think all those episodes are on Trey's website. They were some funny episodes during COVID
When you live in Florida, early swim lessons are so important because so many people have pools! Most my friends and I started our kids at 2 years old.
I switched from iPhone to Android probably 10 years ago because I just didn't want an iPhone anymore, and I have no intention of going back 😊 I do like it better
That beginning bit brought back memories of me stressing on what to wear the first day of school... Wow and if that was the only stress I had these days😂
When my son was around a month old me and my husband had a talk about not taking anything we said to each other personal from midnight until 6 am. Definitely had a few rough nights 😂
Jake's "I'm trying not to move" face during Judge Jake was priceless! 😂 Katie, how does your hair always look so great!? Also, is there some news to be shared about a second baby coming!? 😃 There was a lot of reference to "next time I'm pregnant."
Love the birthday swap idea, Jake! My birthday is June 21 and my husband's is January 18. We should do this. I'm also due with our second baby January 5. 🤷♀️ Poor kid!
My birthday is March 18th, which _always_ [seems to] fall on or around spring break…so having birthday parties as a kid (and even now in my thirties) really sucked because all my friends always went on vacation or were _about to go_ on vacation. _And,_ my family does *not* vacation. Sooo those few birthday parties I had where *everyone* I invited actually showed up, are my most memorable birthdays! Just like Jake and Katie said, it’s not so much the birthday presents we remember, as much as the birthday party that we remember the most- So, just go *_ALL_* out for your second’s *January birthdays!* My nephew’s birthday is January 5th, and I know for him, his mom/my sis has come up with some pretty great party ideas that have been perfect for his winter birthday… although it could be cause kids nowadays don’t go outside as much anymore, so they don’t even know, but, I’m sure the *parties* are the _main~ factor. 😉🤭 Also, my husband’s birthday is July 21st, so, this Birthday Swap idea is sounding pretty good to me, too. 😎
Mineral sunscreen recommendation: Australian Gold Botanical 50. It applies much better than the 10+ other mineral formulations I’ve tried. It’s not greasy and the white cast is minimal. You probably won’t have to reapply because it doesn’t wear off…or wash off…you can’t even shave it off 😂. Be sure to bring some kind of loofah/exfoliating mitt on your trip for your post-beach shower, but no worries about it being a painful experience since you won’t have a sunburn.
I literally bought one of those fire ladders after my second child and it is still in the box under the crib! Cracking up! Mom hormones are so no joke! lol
Okay, but my dad actually did get struck by lightning inside the house! True story! Not in the shower, but doing the dishes! He was standing, washing up a few dishes during a storm, and the lightning came through the water pipes, electrocuted him, and flew him back 6 feet, smashing into the cupboards. He lived to tell the story, but we had a strict rule growing up to NEVER go near water when there's a storm. I've called into work because I couldn't shower due to a storm. LOL!
I have definitely thought through the fire ladder/holding a baby situation as well, Katie! It only gets worse with two kids! Engineering mom minds think alike 😁😁 (It didn’t help that I read an article about a mom with six kids who ran back in to get every single one of the kids. She said her feet got burned off, as in, DRIPPED OFF. 😬Her quote was something like: “I birthed all six kids, I’m getting all six kids out of this fire.”) !!!!! Anyway sleep well! 🤣🤣
My birthday is January 2nd too!! It sucks. My gifts as a kid were always the leftover Christmas sweaters from Walmart. And now it’s the day we travel back from holidays and it’s just forgotten. My husbands birthday is Halloween. So we both have very untimely birthdays.
58:05 that would piss me off too hahah, my sister in laws will only ask my husband questions to ask me/tell him stuff to tell me, sometimes even when I’m in the same room…
My wife and I are all for the toss em in swim lessons honestly. I’d rather my kids learn how to float at a super young age then to drown. I have a few friends who can’t swim and I’m just like how though? Lol
Not to be that person… but ISR swim lessons are great resource for infants and toddlers especially for families that have pools or around pools. Drowning is the number one cause of accidental death for infants and young children between the ages of 1-4. It’s distressing to watch but it can save their life !
I need more illumination (not Illuminati) on Utah moms being similar to Jersey moms (Jersey mom here, unforch). Loved the alien segment last week! Showed my mom, she just had a Mitch McConnell face the whole time 😵💫😵💫😵💫
BTW, One year, because I had two kids in high school, supplies ran me $300 each! Damn fancy $100 calculators! Most years it was over $500 for 3 kids. I won't say how much it cost in Hawaii... onkay, I will, once, on my way back from picking up my kids at their grandparents, we bought everything in CA and flew back with it, only stopping in Honolulu uniform shop for school clothes. I wouldn't even want to guess how much parents need to shell out these days.
Ugh... almost 10 years since Kid 3's last first day of school and I miss none of it! Car lines were the worst. Montessori years were the best; they were so cute in their tiny uniforms. Homeschool (Montessori method) was lovely; discovered my kiddos were pretty smart and my time teaching them would only go to the third grade, at best. Haha. Those were the only years that car lines didn't get on my last nerve... went from 50 kids to zero. As for enormous public school enrollment in TX, CO, CA... living friggin nightmare. I'll leave Hawaii experience alone, out of respect at this difficult time. Yup, don't miss it at all. Oh, and I was right about that 3rd grade thing, but at least I had solidarity of other struggling parents with public school mathematics assignments.
The one good thing about the whole “don’t assume my gender” movement, is now I can literally “impersonate” my husband if he’s the only one on the account-just right from the get-go, they ask your name, Katie, just say it’s Trey…and own it! I got my husband’s Social memorized now because it’s just easier to say I’m him, here’s my proof…than it is for me to get him on the phone during the company’s business hours-hello, he’s at work! I’m a Trad-wife, yea, so, “let me do my job and pay for this bill over the phone so I can get my weekly allowance!” Ugh…utility companies be the worst doing this: Wanting every type of identification in order for you to _pay_ them money.. 😉🤭
Been boycotting the pod since you snubbed Utah. Had to check back to see if you’d put on ur big boy pants yet. Sorry we’re too sober and will hear every word of your jokes. We didn’t know you didn’t like that.
If anyone doesn’t know the whole issue with iPhones and androids is by design by apple. They purposefully make it difficult to push more people to switch to iPhone.
IG had an update that doesn't allow anyone to send us fan videos. We'll start taking fan videos at correctopinions@treykennedy.com. Thanks for letting us know!
Tell tale sign of an MLM is keeping the company info private 😂 "I'm so proud of this" but you can't know the business name to research it bor they have 30 different sub names and companies. Ok I'm done. Thank you for the dramatic reading!!
Your Android complaints are simple setting changes you can make on your devices that enable your Apple devices to interact with Android and Apple products in the same way.
What?!?? Android all the way. Iphone is the only company that holding out on the current technology because they want "their own" system. Android so much for variety and flexibility. You're stuck!
