I'm not a teacher. I am a mom of 2 schoolkids in Germany and love to watch your Videos because it gives me ideas, how to support my kids in learning Englisch 🙂
This will be my 31st year teaching. I’ve taught many grades over the years but will be moving back to 4th grade this year. Praying we all have a good school year!
I teach Kindergarten in Massachusetts going into my 4th year. Yay for professional status in district for me. I was an assistant for 12 years before finally passing my teaching tests and getting my teaching position. My have the times changed! Good luck to all as we enter a new year!
Thus is going to be my seventh year teaching at my current school, but for the past couple of years I have been sick , so I feel this is my first year as a teacher. ❤ Thanks for everything, God bless you!
I’m not a teacher. I’m actually an architect but I’ve always longed for a classroom full of children ready to learn. I love watching your videos. They make me extra excited to homeschool my children in a few years.
I taught phys ed for 9 years- had my second child and went back for 6 months and then decided to stay home. I have been home for 10 years. I did teach online ESL for 4 years and first grade virtual (the last 2 years). I am going back to in-person grade 1 on Monday.
Hi Katie, I taught first and third grade during my seven years of teaching. I am now a 'stay at home mom' and have homeschooled my three children for eight years. In the new school year I will be facilitating my oldest as he enters into high school online. I will also be teaching Bible and cursive handwriting to my two youngest children since the public school does not offer those subjects. I look forward to yoυr videos each week. You have helped me understand the US public school system and it has enabled me to better know how to assist my children in their education. Thank you so much! ❤️🙏🏼
Loved this back to school video! I am about to be a first year teacher in second grade! I’m definitely feeling the nerves and excitement. I’ve been watching your videos since before student teaching and I always look forward to them!!
Loved this video! I’m starting my 18th year of teaching. I’ve taught many different combo classes (anywhere from 2-4 grades in the same room), but for the last several years, I’ve been teaching in a 1st-2nd grade class with no aides. I do have a wonderful volunteer who comes in for a couple of hours twice a week.
Hi Katie! This is my 29th year teaching! I’ve taught mostly first grade, a few years in K, and many years out of the classroom as a reading specialist, coach, and coordinator. You and I both moved to 3rd grade from 1st the same year, so your videos have always been especially used for me! Thanks for being my grade level colleague! You and your work are amazing!🤗❤️
Hi Katie! Thank you for the content! I am a 5th year teacher. I started in 3rd and now teach an elementary self contained special education class. I love what I do and love to see other teachers as excited as me!
Hi Katie, I recently found your channel and love it. I am a student teacher in South Africa. Absolutely love seeing the contrast in USA and SA schools! Also love that you are a Christian and aren’t afraid to share about that. ❤
This will be my 23rd year teaching!! I have taught mostly 5-6 grade! I taught one quarter in a 3/4grade bilingual combo and one year of 7 grade science!! Have a great year!! I teach in CA and my district teachers go back on August 10th!! Students August 14th!!
Hi! I love your energy! I 🫶🏼 that you post content every week! I moved overseas to Turkey 🇹🇷 5 years ago. I teach private English classes online and in person. Have a great new school year! Thanks for your content.
Hi Katie! I really enjoy your videos. I’m a kindergarten teacher in North Carolina. I will be entering my 23rd year teaching. I hope you have a great start to your school year! 😃
Thank you Katie! I am going into my 26th year of teaching! I teach first grade and being nervous to me is a sign of humility to me so it’s good! I am always nervous every year and I believe it’s because we want all to be the best it can be! Live watching and learning from you!!!❤
I am going into my 22nd year of teaching middle school. I taught special ed for 14 years then taught math for 7 years. This year I am staying in the same district, but working at a school much closer to home. Since there were no math openings at my new school, I will be going back to special ed. We also have a tradition of going out for tacos on the first day of school. My daughter and I love tacos. A bad day makes us feel better if we have tacos. A good thing is celebrated with tacos.
This will be my 22 year teaching. I currently teach 3rd. I have taught 3rd grade for the majority of my career, but I have also taught 1st and 2nd in my early years.
I’m actually an elementary art teacher k-5, this is year 24 for me. I enjoy watching your vlogs because you are very relatable and some of my closest teacher friends teach 3rd grade too!
Hi Katie! I love your channel so much. You have helped me in innumerable ways!!! Would you consider a video on your college experience? How to know if the school has a great education program and speak about getting your Masters? Thank you so much for you content! It is excellent!!! You are like a sweet friend I have never met!😊❤
Hi Katie! I love watching your videos! I am going into my 9th year of teaching first grade. I learn new things from you from each of your videos! Thanks for sharing your heart, passion, and great ideas for teaching! 😊
Hi Katie, you are really an inspirational teacher, I am learning so much from you! :) I am a Kindergarten teacher, teaching in South Africa, it is term 3 of the school year. I am in my fourth year of teaching and really struggling with classroom management. Of all the years I have been teaching this year is by far the hardest. My classroom management is actually really good and I have not struggled the previous years. I really don't know what to do. I am thinking of implementing class Dojo but I am not sure where to start.
I'm not a teacher, but I had alot of teachers in my family. Two people still are. I am an author of 10 children's' books however, so one of my goals is to have my books in schools, and / or, in classrooms, through-out the USA. The cover of my books might look like they're for younger grades, but they have no pictures inside, and can be read by older Ele. schoolers, if they give them a chance.
I have been teaching for twenty years (infant thru age five) but in my own classroom (as of the third week in August) seven years…. I teach young preschoolers…..
There’s no getting into classrooms for us u til a week before school…UGH camp goes on 8n our private school. It’s so stressful especially since we have meetings during that time too.
Seven years! I'm moving to 4th grade this year. Do you have any resources you've liked using for upper elementary reading and writing? It could be TPT resources/sellers or ones provided by your district. I'm entering a district with a curriculum everyone in my building hates, but we're stuck with it for a few more years 🤪
2nd year back teaching after being home for 6 years with my twins. I am teaching 1st grade for the second year. Previously I taught 3 years of 3rd/4th grade math and JK for 10 years. I have a random question… where did you get that wire cart on wheels for crates? It was behind you in other videos too. I was wondering if it is sturdy enough for the crates to be filled with papers/center supplies?
I’m wondering are the books you read and ask questions from, state approved? My district is making almost impossible to ask questions from any read aloud.
