In my recent depression I've taken a liking to synthwave.

GLORIOUS 80s!!! Indeed, the FIRST decade that enjoyed the widespread start of consumer tech. BUT was still early enough that most things people needed to do, work for, sweat for and enjoy --- were still very "analog" and simple. *Like for example using the rotary phone and calling your crush (and hope no one eavesdrops on the shared line) then strategically sending hand-written perfume-infused love letters via snail mail and hoping the postman (or a suspicious father) won't intercept and open it before your crush could.*

I love the soundtrack in this video. It flawlessly matches the visuals, creating an immersive atmosphere that draws you in. The music selection is superb, adding depth and emotion to the scenes. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into choosing these incredible tracks.

This music was in the background of movies I watched as a kid, and then on movies I was too young for that got pulled out of video shelves and watched during the 90s. Video games, Mom's exercise videos, and so much more played this sort of music.

I grew up in the 90's, I'm obsessed with lots of 90's music. I have never listed to this genre let alone from the 80's but hey, I am completely zoned out on my work with these noise cancellers on lol. Good stuff!

I really enjoyed this. I recorded on a cassette so it can play in my vintage 1988 Jeep Wrangler YJ. Now, if I can just find a place selling parachute pants, colourful Converse, and if I can wait for my mullet to grow in. You know, party in the back, business in the front.

I am literally doing my engineering hw with a whole background story in my head where im like the only one left on Earth with the ability to understand these "ancient texts" on material fabrication and I have to learn it so that I can build giant war machines and armor to combat the spread of an evil zombie horde army....... makes reading this textbook and doing its practice problems a lot more interesting. Everything is more fun with an imagined impending sense of doom and epic purpose. I blame corny 90's movies
