For us 70's, 80's and 90's kids, we very lucky to have grown up when Toy's R Us was at its best (especially in the 80's and early 90's). Being a kid and seeing the fully stocked shelves and end caps was like being in toy heaven. There was never a quick trip to TRU, there was just so much to look through, and many tough decisions had to be made when picking a toy to leave with. I have many fond memories of not only going to TRU, but Child's World, Kay-Bee, Play World, and the many department stores. Good times.
I couldn’t agree with you more. Kay Bee was awesome and one of my favorites. I also loved looking through the Sears catalog because it would show all the upcoming toys. Truly was the best time to grow up.
Im 45 and remember going to toysrus as a kid and getting the LJN wrestling figs and starting lineup figuers as well as masters of the universe. Then once i got Nintendo i kind gave up on toys in 90s .I transitioned more into sports hats jerseys sneakers etc.
