One of my favorite movie series has to be Back to the Future. I watched those movies a dozen times as a kid, and they are still at the top of my list today.
At the start of this channel, I unboxed the original BTTF Time Travels Memories. kit from Doctor Collector. I loved that kit! In a few weeks, they will release the expansion for this kit, including a whole set of new items that cut really deep for any fan of the movies. I had the pleasure of receiving a preview of the kit! 0:59 - *taking a note* cancer. knew it. we can be very infectious, but are rarely deadly. ^^ 7:27 - I saw the movies as kid in theatres and reeeeally liked them. ... It took me 15 years to realize that they swapped his girlfriend in the sequel. Took me another 20 to find that thing with his dad out. As it seems: I did not pay attention to detail at all (besides the fact that I DID realize "back in the days" as I watched the sequel that the intro of the second movie was a reshoot of the ending of the first one), but I really enjoyed them. ^^ 16:36 - true. A remake (or even a continuation at this point) is difficult to imagine. Like with Ghostbusters. Not that the new movies are bad, but as it seems: every move in any direction of continuing old IPs is doomed to split the fandom it has. It's kinda sad how things ... "evolved".

Yeah, nostalgia is a very fickle thing. I should do a video on all BTTF easter eggs and secrets :) There are a lot of them. Like in the first concept, the time machine was a fridge, and about half of the first movie was actually shot with another actor playing Marty before MJF joined in.

@@geekandplunder tbh. there are a lot of videos floating around discussing one or another topic. Did not see any vids so far who handled everything. Would be nice. Alone the thing with the dad actor is a whole rabbit hole of itself. ^^ There is a lot surrounding this franchise, which IS interesting (when you know and/or love the movies), but are barely known.

I got mine and was happy with the original kit. The new one at least to me is disappointing. Just a bunch of folded paper. They couldn't have had Marty's license be plastic?
