In the 1980s, this was a culture milestone it took over everything by storm. More time has passed since then, 1985-2023 or 38 years than the time Marty went back in time 1985-1955 or 30 years. Now the movie is itself a time capsule.
Aleksandra did a great job predicting a large amount of the film!!!🎬👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽Pete, you probably know the Back to the Future experience is best fullfilled by watching the entire trilogy.
1. The cranky principal Mr. Strickland/James Tolkan also played the ship's squadron leader in "Top Gun". 2. The teacher that tells Marty, "I'm afraid you're just too darn loud" is Huey Lewis himself. (Many songs on this soundtrack) 3. Eric Stoltz was first cast as Marty, but he didn't play well with others and was fired. Some of his long shots are still in the movie. 4. The flammable material set on fire with the model exercise had to have been put there on purpose. 5. It's always fun to see how people react to the Marty and his mom car scene. 🤣 6. George McFly/Crispin Glover didn't like that the story ended with the family being prosperous. 7. IMVHO part II is the best of the trifecta. 8. If you want a first time/share of an OUTSTANDING movie where Christopher Lloyd plays the heavy you must do "Who Framed Roger Rabbit".
Part 2 doesn’t make sense even with their own rules. If Marty and Jennifer leave 1985 for 2015 then they’d just be missing for 30 years and would have no family. When Old Biff goes back to 1955 he couldn’t return the DeLorean to that original 2015 since he altered the timeline.
Amazing masterpiece very classic one of my favorites when I was a kid Back to the Future directed by Robert Zemeckis starring Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, Crispin Glover, Thomas F. Wilson and music score by Alan Silvestri. The music video of the film is the classic song "The Power of Love" single by Huey Lewis and the News. By the way Huey Lewis makes a cameo as one of the judges saying "Too darn loud". Very funny deadpan humor when Marty first jumps into the car, "he's going back in the past & he doesn't have enough pellets? Oh well, crap!" At least I found it funny. Good job!
Orgy American Style is actually a real movie. It was softcore and starred cult favorite Rene Bond and also an actor named George "Buck" Flower. Buck Flower surprisingly appears in BTTF as well, playing Red the bum. The theater showing OAS in 1985 is later seen in 1955 showing Cattle Queen of Montana starring future President Ronald Reagan.
16:16 It must have been very strange to Christopher Lloyd, as such a seasoned actor, to have been directed to look directly into the camera here. But it works so well! Kudos to Zemekis, it's such a great scene!
Thee original cut of Back To The Future 2 was originally over 3 hours long but they didn't think people would sit through a movie that long so they cut it in half that is why there is a 3rd Back To The Future movie.
Though it never comes up in the movies, the explanation given for how Marty met Doc is that, when he was younger, he snuck into Doc’s place to see what was really up with this sort of mysterious, eccentric old scientist. Doc caught him, but they became friends when Marty told him how cool he thought his inventions were. There’s a further (but not necessarily canonical) explanation that Marty didn’t go in completely of his own accord, but was put up to it by a kid named Douglas Needles, and Marty did it to show he wasn’t chicken.

The lead judge who said "You're too darn loud" in the band audition is Huey Lewis. He's the lead singer in Huey Lewis and the News, a very popular band in the 1980's. They also did the some of the songs for the movie.
in this movie i think the bad guy got the best result possible. at the end he seem to be a great happy go lucky guy. i bet he's much happier than he was at the beginning of the movie being the boss and bully.
if you think about it, it makes all sense that the mother falls in love for her son. Most mothers love their sons and think they are a dream, etc. Of course, not knowing he IS her son, she confuses the primordial attraction she has for her son for sexual love... which she discovers there is something very wrong with it when she kisses him.

Love this movie, but don´t think too hard about it in scientific terms. It's inconsistent. Most of the movie implies multiverse (multiple timelines) and thus, no grandfather paradox. But the history of the first movie basically all revolves around the grandfather paradox (him bumping into his parents and thus never being born)
"How do you go back to the future?" You can go "BACK" to the future, if you started in the future and went into the past, then wanted to get "BACK" to the future. It's the whole premise of this film.

I'm guessing by your accents, you're not American. So if you don't understand some of the Presidential jokes. Here it is. When Marty asks his future Grandparents for directions to Doc's house, his Grandpa gives him directions to a street name. But Marty points out that is John F. Kennedy Drive, to which the Grandparents have no idea who that is. Marty goes back to 1955. Kennedy wouldn't be elected President for another five years. So it's understandable that his grandparents may not know who Kennedy was at the time. Before becoming a politician, Ronald Reagan was an actor. Then in the late 60s, he became Governor of California before eventually becoming President from 1981-1989.
