BACK TO FUELTECH! The DeLorean DMC-12 saga begins!
This is the saga that I was really looking forward to do, I finally fulfilled a childhood dream and bought my DeLorean DMC-12, a car that was known for being the scientist Doc Brown's time machine that teleported Marty McFly to 1955, but reaching 88mph and in that V6 was a bit difficult... This car has remained in my memory for all these years. I'm a big fan of the ''Back to the Future'' trilogy and the idea of this car, which was designed in the 80s to be a futuristic car at the time, with gullwing doors, the car attracted a lot of attention due to its design and central engine at the rear.
The only problem with this car was the V6 Peugeot-Renault engine, which only generated 145 hp, leaving the performance aspect aside. In my case, the engine is no longer a problem since the car I bought came without an engine and without a gearbox, which is one less problem. And of course the V8 Maserati made by Ferrari, the F136, was just waiting for this car, so what you're going to see in this episode is not just the reveal of a new car, it's the beginning of the saga of the DeLorean AFD with V8 swap Maserati. John DeLorean would be proud of this saga.
There is also the Delorean with a Honda K24 Turbo engine that Alexandre Sas from Forty7 Garage in Utah in the USA built with FuelTech on the dynamometer and also fell for the scam and took over my DeLorean!
This mission had the help of many Brazilians here in the USA, Said found the car and Alexandre and Willian from Forty7garage which is in Utah here in the USA and brought another DeLorean here to FT USA with a K24 turbo engine and they are the perfect friends to fall for the barbecue scam. Jokes aside, the guys practically built a new car and are experts in DeLorean.
I was excited, the guys at the FuelTech USA workshop, even Felipe Andreis were, so now it's time to enjoy this saga, put the engine and gearbox in place, install the FT, get it moving and then begin the fun that we enjoy, the upgrades, There are a lot of plans for this car.
Would this be the perfect car to use the Vision FT line, which is our vision of the future? An FT700 instead of the flux capacitor? It would be insane, what do you think?
