Niceone Davie, I have the same when fishing the Daddy for our small trout. It certainly brings the fish up, but not the easiest pattern to hook them on.
@DaviekFlyFishing just waiting to see what happens with the thunder storms we're SUPPOSED to get. Our rivers could do with a bit of a lift. I did pop out to the little moorland stream yesterday and bagged some footage to put out over Christmas (oh God, I just mentioned the C word)!! At least it will give me a bit of editing to do whilst I'm trapped in with the family🤣
It's a special place Davie, you'd love it , mind you you've got plenty of fantastic rivers in Scotland, maybe one day I'll cast a line up there?👍@DaviekFlyFishing
