I knew a guy in Kentucky who had bolio/tombstone blood from dogs he got from Patrick over the years . He said he stuck with that line of dogs because of consistency in producing game dogs . Needless to say my first male bulldog pup came from this man . He was seal color and the last male out of the litter and had a twin sister . This male pup turned out to be my best male ever and very deep game . His twin sister was just as good in every way.

In the 80's in Mx, think the Mexicans (Cardenas and Morfin) dropped the Carver stuff or added Fontenot Booger. That cross made their dogs better.. their dogs improved during the 80's, we only beat them bc we had a better condition.
Back in the 80's used to attend shows in No. Tx and Ok most were Bolio bred dogs. .. I'd sit there bored wondering why cant I match into dogs like these ..they lacked bite. ....Guessin' to each their own

I have a son off of the Charlie dog named lil Charlie which is real heavy Tonka dogs the guy I got him from has been running that line for the past 40yrs

Kind of weird 2 known legendary breeders Boudreaux and B Clayton ..(one owned and the other conditioned for match) Bolio even winning BIS they didnt breed to him ? Must of saw something they didnt like
if they saw something they didn't like, they missed out as the bolio x boomerang x eli produced the boyle's line that became famous itself. the old timers hid their pedigrees to preserve their 'recipes' so more than likely, they did breed to him. the bolio dogs were more defensive while those breeders may have been looking for a different style of dog.
@@maxdawg never heard of Boyler's but the 'bolio x boomerang x eli '' cross was already being used mid 70's early 80's in Tx. Miss Spike, Pistol, Zeke Stuff was heavy in So. Tx. Yes, the old guys changed their pedigrees. I knew a few dog men who supplied Carver who gave no credit to the guys who actually bred the pups. As for us we, as a group never register, sold to anyone outside our group or reported matches. I used Eli dogs, Boudreaux thru Carver those were: intelligent, athletic, above avg bite most important game. Later used Torres' line Zebo/Art/Kingfish with a shot of Boudreaux thru Carver . Those things were maniacs.
