Everything was secure and in good shape. No weird smells. The weight changing mechanism is really smooth and straight forward. Changing weight is really fast and easy. Though the handle is plastic, I don't think it will be breaking anytime soon. So far pretty impressed after my first session with them. I was afraid they were going to be too wide at first, but I didn't have any issues with them while doing upright rows.
Mike, your advice on the dumbbell pullover was great! I've never been able to feel my lats being worked until I took your advice on hip and hand position.
This video and probably series is just what I needed.. Cheers! I hadn't done any weights for 25 years. Was watching your's and Matt's Bodybuilders vs millitary challenges and started watching your channel. Got me motivated to start training again. I just got a great deal on a used ToughStuff light commercial dumbell bench and some olympic dumbells. Don't have much $ so I'm on 2x25lb dumbells for almost everything. Been going about 6 weeks doing crazy numbers of presses lol, Started with 3 sets of 10 and mild aches for 3-4 days lol. Now I'm on 3 sets of 30, 25 and 20-25 reps with a nice pump and no pain. About to get 4x10lb more disks to give me a more versatile workout with sensible sets of fewer reps. This first month went really well, mostly chest and arms but I really need to work more on my back. 20 years of sitting behind the computer with bad posture has really messed it up. Noticing improvements already. Thanks for the inspiration. Don't expect to get the physique of a athlete like yourself, but it feels good and I get grumpy if I don't workout every other day and feel a bit meh if I miss a session so I will probably stick with it :)
Mike I did your shoulder exercise where you half the rep with a heavier weight and full rep with a lighter and my shoulders were looking FULL. Thank you! I’m gonna give this back exercise a shot tomorrow!
4:55 I think you could keep your head backwards more on the shrugs. Your head's coming forward a lot, trying to "get out the way" of the traps, which may be indicative that the weight is a bit too heavy. As we know, if the form suffers, usually the weight is too high.
That it doesn't. However, let me quote from 'Shrug Science': "If the lifter allows the shoulders to round and the head to come forward during the shrug, the line of gravity moves forward. Such faulty head and shoulder position predisposes the middle and lower cervical vertebra to excessive sheer forces because the fibers in this region (C3-C6) are optimally arranged to elevate the load from this position." "With the head in optimal position, the load of the shrug is distributed effectively throughout the musculature of the anterior and posterior neck, shoulder girdle, rib cage and the remainder of the body. It is some nice tunes that you have been using in your dumbbell workout series. I really liked the tune in the "Full Shoulder Workout Using ONLY Dumbbells" when you were doing the rear delt exercise. 5:48. I think you could become a really good producer maybe something you could do on the side. Bro you got it all expect a wife and children. I sometimes look at your first youtube videos from 2016 and 2017 when you had a more simple life in Newcastle and Kingston when you were having EhpLab supplements (whey protein and bcaa) and it was either your brother or your friends (Brad Tarren etc.) filming you. Great video again Mike very helpful. I'm new to your channel I've got some adjustable dumbbells and a bench in my garage and found your dumbbell series very helpful. What I wanna know is can you build a good physique with only dumbbells and a bench? I'll try and get some cables eventually but that's a way off

2:10 brad pitt said he developed his chest for "Troy" almost exclusively with that exercise. I dont like the exercise bc I am too dumb to properly execute it I guess but I do not understand how some do it for Chest and Mike says it will target the Lat.
