This is still my favorite tv show EVER. because of the Dukes of Hazzard I've jumped every car, truck, dirtbike, snowmobile, bronco, ramcharger, 68 charger, westernstar logging truck, bicycles and about every thing I could get my hands on. I'm 44 now and spent the day on my 2018 yz250 sending it off jumps. Wish this show would air again
As long as I live, whenever I hear Waylon start pickin' that song...I'm transported back to the Friday nights of my childhood. Getting to stay up "late" to watch the Duke boys and the General. Back then that ol' Charger wasn't a nearly decade old mopar with a hammered 440 (or more likely a 318) that (sometimes) burned oil. That car was to me (and millions from my generation) a brand new 426cu in version of the lone rangers Silver, Timmys Lassie, General George S Patton and Superman. Back then, there were no cries on the evening news of an old Dodge bearing the name of a long dead General being racist. No whining about Daisy's legs on display being part of the patriarchy's conspiracy to undermine womens rights and no hybrid vehicles. T'was a far simpler time. Yes, I was a little kid and knew little of the world...but I still cherish those Friday nights spent in front of the tv with my folks watching the Dukes.
And today dukes of Hazzard merchandise is banned in Walmart, Sears, JCPenney, Target, Amazon, and eBay, because of its affiliation with the Confederate flag!! The world has gone freaking insane
seeing them jump right into character and that genuine emotion like they were back home was great.would love to see all the remaining actors do a reunion here on location, and of course the dukes gotta show in the general lol..absolutely love this show!!!..I still watch it to this day (which is on Amazon Prime.. you're welcome to those who didnt know lol )
I have had the privilege to meet both these gentlemen on different occasions and have had autographed photo's taken with them, very humble experiences. Brings back a lot of memories for me as well.
I wore the tires off my bicycles and bent rims trying to be a duke lol. I jumped a 1974 ford two door LTD because of this show. There was a very steep, inclined railroad track. I hit those tracks at 90 mph. Less than 100 feet was a stop sign that I skid through. I, my cousin and the car all survived. Thinking back, I praise God, He spared my life. It was scary, fun but mostly stupid.
charger master Yep, it is. You can tell Ben Jones is proud of Georgia. He even said that he tried So hard to get them to keep filming in Georgia ( I haven't watched this video in a Long While so I'm not sure if it was in this video. ) How's everything been with you Friend?
Hello Misters Ben and Sonny! Wow, y'all look great. Thanks for sharing and for taking this great trip down memory lane. My childhood was awesome because of guys like you! God bless you and your families. P. S. Mr. Sonny I'd say out of all the Dukes cast Hollywood has been the most-kind and truly generous to you in terms of movie roles and great character acting. Here's to many more great years in Tinsel Town Sir!
When I see that and the time that has passed, it really makes me sad, some things in this life should never change, but unfortunately everything changes, (including us)
I've always dreamed of buying the old Boar's Nest and restoring it back to the original "watering hole" - and extending an open invitation to the surviving cast members to drop in and share stories and experiences... It might become a tourist attraction, being the only Dukes location still in operation.
I can't wait to meet you Both! Always a "DUKES OF HAZZARD FAN FOR LIFE"! 👍🏻😍 Please if you know where the FAMOUS JUMP OF THE GENERAL LEE, IS AT PLEASE TELL US?!!!? The JUMP ACROSS THE RIVER???
The Boar's nest, now a Church. In the 70/80's Earl Holiman from Police Woman and other shows had a Business in San Antonio TX (actually Hollywood Park, Tx) It was called, THE FIESTA DINNER PLAYHOUSE. It's now a Church.
And just think today and 2019 month of September dukes of Hazzard merchandise, shirts, hats, lunch pails, DVDs, toy cars are all banned in Walmart Target Sears eBay and Amazon it just got the Confederate flag on it!! Makes me sick to my damn stomach one of the best TV shows I ever grew up with
You can the blacks for that. They want everyone EXCEPT WHITE PEOPLE to celebrate their "HERITAGE". IT'S TIME FOR WHITE PEOPLE TO STAND UP AND START KICKING ASS.
They never say why in the first show ever filmed. Why Cooter & How & why The 1976 Starsky & Hutch Gran Tornio was in a WB PRODUCTIONS. I WANT TO KNOW WHY IT WAS EVEN IN THE SHOW.
Right. I'm in middle of watching all 7 seasons my wife got them for me. I drive a truck and watch them on my tv when I'm stopped. I'm on season 4 now. U can also see parts where they will reuse a crash. Roscoe or cletus or enos will hit a crash in a newer car and they will show one of the cars from season one crash and then after crash they are back in newer car. They pretty much did that with any car that wasnt specific like general or Daisy's jeep. Even uncle Jessie's truck changes. One min it will be a long bed 3/4 ton then it will be a short bed 1/2 ton. And sometimes it's a older model white ford like he had in the first few episodes.
