That was actually a good fight to see from yarde... the opponent was trash, of course, but...we got to see a smaller version of yarde without all of that muscle, the guy looks good and was moving alot better and was also moving on his toes for once Good look for my guy yarde, I feel like he could only get better if he continues to focus on his own size

Jorge Silva is a very good boxer if proper prepared. In this match Silva could get to more rounds, referee anticipated and ended the match prematurely.

It's damn near impossible to knock out a Russian Hopefully my guy yarde will get another shot and come up with the predefined gameplan that will put him back in the champion seat

Pretty standard historically to get a fighter an easy win after getting knocked out just to build some confidence back in them imo… Yarde looked sharp, heavy handed and boxed well with decent shot variety… BUT hard to read too much into this as imo Silva wasn’t there to win and technically was many levels lower than Yarde, let’s see what happens next… there is talk of him fighting the Azeez vs Buatsi winner which could be a great domestic scrap!

⁠it’s true. Silva was just there for a paycheck and to not hurt Yarde. He was pulling his punches and putting 50 percent power on them. Obvious staged fight. Silva gets a paycheck, didn’t do anything he wasn’t supposed to do, and now he’ll get a call back to play the heel for someone else. The worst thing someone like Silva can do is actually beat the opponent. He would be black listed and never get a fight again. But people believe this charade and don’t know how the business works.
